I do not understand why people from retail are angry about WoW Classic. It is that simple if you do not want wow classic, do not play it. Why do these players got to scream and throw tantrums for changes like adding LFG/LFR, pet battles and world quests? Not only that they turn around and have their famous youtube video bloggers say "It is not us, it is the private server people." They know they are lying to us and acting smug about it. Seriously, to all those who want changes like what I just mentioned. Leave, you had your changes, we vanilla based players waiting YEARS for something like this to happen.

While I can sympathsize that it's annoying when we get people asking for changes or blatantly lying about things like x wouldn't affect y to justify implementing it the best we can do is counter it with constructive arguments rather than treating them like plague victims. Yes I don't agree with them and I'm honestly concerned what classic will release with at this rate but we shouldn't lower ourself to that kind of level. It's bait to make us look like bad, unreasonable, caricatures to be dismissed.
Don't fall for it. It would help alleviate some tension if the blues posted to reassure us no changes and "Vanilla means Vanilla" is still the plan but I can understand they don't want to get caught in the crossfire - we'll have to wait for Blizzcon to see. Try not to lose your temper with them it just diminishes the arguments when we make them and makes us easier to dismiss.

I would have to agree with you 100%, the best thing I do I debate. These people who do what I have mentioned is they are horrible at debating and presenting facts.

Some people don't want everyone to be happy, they only want themselves to be happy. It's like giving a baby a ball and then giving another baby another ball, the first baby will cry because they don't want the other baby to have fun too.
That's what classic is, its finally appealing to the other side of the player base who want that more but the retail side is unhappy now because they don't get everything for themselves anymore.
I don't know why everyone has to be so entitles these days, the more choices the better, everyone gets to play the game that they want instead of being forced to play one game.

Those people are likely the typical "give me classic for free with my BFA sub or I won't play it" retail player.
They're scared that we're going to steal their players and rightfully so.
They are angry because of posters that attack them constantly (like a few in this thread), they are not scared about losing players to Classic, or that Classic will beat Retail (and though I don't play BfA, claiming Classic will beat it is laughable.)

except BFA is obviously trending down right now. Blizzard is trying to right the ship with a lot of changes they are implementing (better rewards from emissarys, M+ being able to give you currency to buy M+ level Azerite armor, Paragon caches coming back, etc); but is it too late?
When i saw the trailer for BFA i was stoked. when i heard about Island Expeditions and Warfronts i thought they were a very cool idea. the reality is though that they are flops.
Blizzard is not going to change any gameplay aspects of Classic outside of what... reporting? If you even consider that gameplay
