Nah. The streamers don’t deserve preferential treatment. Let it all burn.
Blizzard has logs, so if the DDoS didn’t start prior to the deaths there is no way they would believe them or do anything. And they only rolled back this one because it was live streamed and the group streaming was targeted. Blizzard could easily use anti-DDoS services, like real companies do, but that costs money. They have plenty, but they want more.
This isn’t about the streamers. I could care less about them.
What I don’t want is to encourage bad actors to do bad things that affect me just because their presumed target is a streamer, which seems to be your stance, cut off your nose to spite your face type of thing.
If you are one of the attackers or support them, my message is the same as it is to all the DDOSr’s here: get rekt.

It is genuinely laughable and also frustrating that you clearly know nothing about IT.
If someone wants your servers down, it will happen.
It’s like a condom. You can prevent a lot of diseases or unwanted pregnancies, but it will never be 100 percent.
Or like a vaccine, the flu vaccine makes you less likely to get the flu, but you can’t prevent it completely.
People have explained this multiple times how a DDOS works and why it can’t be completely prevented without affecting real users.
