Well, I said I wouldn’t, but I went and purchased TWW…only because I have to be 80 to celebrate the 20th Anniversary with BRD (because it was my fave back in the day). So…
Question is: Obviously, I’ll start with the starter, breadcrumb quest line tonight, but is there ANYTHING, any tips or tricks, I should know in order to level timely and enjoyably? Thank you.
If you do only the main campaign quests, you will end up around level 77 at the end of the campaign. So you need to do some side quests or dungeons to hit level 80.
Don’t worry too much about side quests for the time being and just focus on the main campaign. You should finish the leveling campaign by around 76-77 if you only do it
After that I’d recommend spamming dungeons for the remaining levels, in order to start familiarizing yourself with them
Lastly I’d recommend picking up a profession sooner rather than later. If you don’t want to focus hard on them don’t worry about it, as they are kind of scuffed in TWW if you ask me, but they are worth the initial investment as you can get some pretty decent gear at the early levels going into level 80 that will be a big help in getting over the normal > heroic dungeon hump quickly. You can also get some solid bonus exp while leveling from a gathering profession while you’re doing other things
i was planning on waiting till we got more feedback in here but then I noticed I could look at the Beta just before TWW went live.
Took at look at beta and yeah…definitely something Im gonna like, so we bought a few copies
I myself chose “enjoyably” rather than “timely” for leveling. I explored everything as I went along and grabbed any quests I came across. I hit 80 before I even left Hallowfall haha. I’m one of those “enjoy the ride” players though. If you’re wanting to hit 80 ASAP you’re better off doing what the fellas above said, just focus on the main campaign and do a few dungeons.
I have leveled 4 characters 4 different ways. You’ll probably want to just follow the main story quest and supplement with a few dungeons and delves, should be pretty relaxed.
