I didnt realize how impatient the average wow player is

Normally I run everything with my guild because well, its easier.

Trying to level and gear up some alts with the current TW and all I come across are terrible dps that are impatient and pulling, usually resulting in a wipe, because they dont even use their own cc mechanics or interrupts.

Generally when im pulling as the tank there isnt much downtime between pulls. I might wait for a pat to move so I can skip it, but these people just run straight in, no thought behind the play style. Legit mashers for those that understand FGC lingo.

Am I the only one seeing this or?

If you pull it, you tank it. That’s my only rule.

As a Blood DK, DPS please pull faster, ty.

Theyre circus clowns lol. Vote to kick or leave them tankless if they wont.

I ran one 5 man a long while back with Brewmaster. Im literally dropping the Ox statue ahead while we’re fighting these three mobs to pull the next batch.
Some idiot DPS player runs ahead from the mobs we were fighting ahead of my statue to pull even more mobs back and caused a wipe.
The second time he did it we vote kicked his sorry rump.

If the group is ok with it, and I mean the tank and healer, have at it.
But dont go pulling for me causing a wipe and expect not to find oneself booted back into Stormwind, lol

While i normally agree with this there are however times when folks do accidentally grab mobs and i think its ok to grab them and tank em so no one dies.

I let them die. It’s a good lesson. If they don’t learn from it, that’s on them.

you’re just now realizing this? lol you must have had a good run.

They have probably been conditioned to do so running whatever their normal run is outside of TW. Chasing tanks running off like their butts are on fire

Yeah. Though it’s sometimes easy to tell who is playing “let’s tag unnecessary mobs”, who’s playing “here I’ll MD the tank and grab the incoming pat for an easier pick (I generally like this)”, and then those whose situational awareness is lacking in that moment they don’t realize they’re in a dungeon.

The latter is where the tank should protect.

Nah, had two people die due to hard-hitting mechanics, and the dps ran ahead and kept pulling.

Wasn’t until the boss already died I could get the rez’s off.

They don’t seem to understand it goes faster for everyone when everyone is alive.

Oh, also, YOU ENTERING COMBAT CAUSES ME TO ENTER COMBAT AS WELL! CANNOT REZ IN COMBAT!

Yeah it’s sad. I can pull consistently through a dungeon as a tank and it’s never enough. Best thing to do is run exclusively with your guild and contribute to the tank / healer shortage.

Find yourself a casual laid back guild. I love my guild. They’re well paced, not trying to be the best or show off. It’s always a pleasure to run with them. Unfortunately a few members including the gl is away on holidays so it’s a pug week unfortunately.

I had a run earlier today, I pulled 2 packs in brackenhollow, because I don’t want to be feared all over the place. So of all roles, the healer is standing on the next pack inpatiently. I just typed, “sorry I’m not fast enough for you, I’ll leave so you can get another tank”. I hope they got a super slow tank.

Next time I’ll just vote kick them. People click yes whether it’s a good reason or not.

Feeling pretty lucky I don’t think I’ve had this problem other than me pulling accidentally as a healer, Most impatient thing I see is usually form rag players saying gogogogo and that’s pretty rare

Could be lucky enough to be in a good server set. I’m OCE and I get illidan players in almost every pug I do. I wish it was just OCE players to be honest. Not just because of the player issue, but also the ridiculous 200-300 ping. I can only assume the OCE population isn’t large enough to justify being on our own.

My only problem is with DPS pulling, intentionally or not, is that they run away from me when they over pull. I don’t mind gathering them up, but keep close to me, or at least if you pull something, bring it to me. Some DPS players are bottom of the barrel when it comes to this.

For a point of reference, a +9 key is hard for the “average” player.

So in most cases, you are more likely to come across a bad player than a good one because the average isn’t that great.

You can tell who had a careless accident and who’s doing it on purpose.

You answered your own question. If you have a guild, that’s your best bet for playing with people who are compatible with your style of play.

Go with a PUG and what you are going to get is random players, many of whom see video games as … well … games. They just jump in to have fun.

ok the issue is the first line of you said. the issue isn’t them its you and you not being able to play with players who don’t play as you do so the issue is you not them so you probly shouldn’t do those without your guild if you don’t usually do that.

you said that better than i did.
