I was leveling my Tailoring on an alt and I realized I didn’t get any Artisan’s Acuity from doing first crafts, or opening the knowledge books or any of the knowledge items gave me artisan’s acuity, Now I’m out 40 first crafts, a bunch of crafting orders and knowledge items worth of Artisan’s Acuity that were not awarded…
Any recipes learned from a trainer, as well as any profession treasures and Az-Kahet books don’t give acuity by design.
was that a recent change? because I recalled at the start when i was leveling professions i would get it.
Hotfixed not long after the start of Early Access.
The change was made on beta hours before early access started, so no one was ever able to earn Acuity from these classes of recipes on the live expansion. I thought it may have been a day or two before, but I can’t reference the original post since the beta forum was hidden and likely purged.
The WowHead link quotes the original announcement, but (as you indicated) the link to the original blue post is a dead end now.
I missed the first day of Early Access because of real life so I was going by what I thought I remembered about some crafters being able to take advantage of profession shuffling to stack up Acuity while others couldn’t (and early stockpiles of Acuity translated to significant market advantage with profession recipes).
Part of the shuffle wasn’t just first crafts, it was profession patron orders as well. Some professions were way easier on that.
First crafts didn’t give acuity on day one, AFAIK, since I levelled mine some on the first day and didn’t get any acuity past the initial quest + some patron orders.
