I deleted WoW

Oh that sounds fantastic. I found a recipe for short ribs in my Instant Pot recently that works really well for a quick dinner (20 minutes of prep, 30 minutes cooking) but I really do need to experiment with some slow cooking bbq.

I gave that game another try a month or so ago. I just can’t get into it.

I kind of believe a lot of the people who posts these types of threads are just FFXIV trolls.

I took a break from WoW to play FFXIV for a few years. Let’s just say there’s a reason I’m back here now. The grass is greener and what not, but man, do I miss playing with actual competent people. The community over there is… Not great. But hey, a level 11 hunter will fit right in over there. They even have easy modes for story instances now.

Did you delete all your characters?

Well, it would make sense. There’s not much else to do over there. The raids are only 4 bosses, and unless you really care about oneshotting old content, or doing a giant pile of minigames for pets/mog, you pretty much just raid log for the first patch, unsub until the next raid comes out, and catch up on everything that came out in a few days.

True enough friend.

FF14 is a boring slog

TBH I have also been thinking about playing ffxiv again I did play it at launch of reborn on PS4. I order an xbox series x, and ffxiv is rumored to be coming out on that as well.

I do own both the pc veresion and ps4 version of the latest expansion. I just might give it a go.

I wouldn’t consider ā€œmandatoryā€ professions meaningful. They make more of an effort to keep[ crafting with recipes that continue as a expansion does. Considering I was able to create enough gil though professions to purchase a player house, pay to have it designed by someone who is way at that stuff AND pay for a good chunk of a FC house, I’d say the professions were working as intended.

The actual crafting system, I’d say is pretty wonky, while kind of neat at first glance once you realize craft gets turned into nothing but a macro, I think it defeats the intentions I’d imagine they did have on them at first.

Your post excites me and I’d like to subscribe to your newsletter.

I still have it installed but only so I can log in and spend my thousands of anima saved up on the adventure table to get stuff to sell on auction house so I can get tokens off the auction house and use it on free hearthstone cards.

I have already gotten 2 tokens and on path to get 1 more before my time and anima expire. Then I will uninstall.

Get my money back out of this trash any way I can.

I suggest tumblr or twitter
But thank you for the update random stranger.

You cared enough to reply, and that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Sub doesn’t run out for two weeks. Deleting the game doesn’t delete the ability to post. Not until they delete your account, and that takes 30 days.

You didn’t get the airport joke in the OP?

I got a Mansion myself. That’s just making money off zoomer’s back. And it’s great.

The fake-police have issued a warrant for your arrest. :policeman:

I let my sub drop to try out FFXIV. So far it’s been pretty fun. It’s got some issues, but then so does WoW. We’ll see how it feels in another month or so.

That’s the spirit. I’m pretty sure a lot of folks bashing FF have never even tried it… I, however, did and was bored after about a month… :upside_down_face:

I just resubbed to ff as well a few hours ago. Downloading everything still since I had to buy the expansion etc. A game that cares about casuals seems nice after the clown Fiesta that is retail rn. I got gifted two months of wow by my wife so I’m still subbed but between the game being essentially no life or die, and there being nothing I really feel like collecting from old content? GG blizz. I have knighted wow and blizz for over 15 years on the forums. Now I just use my sub to talk to people on the forums. You can see I’m at like 30ish for renown. Which shows how long it’s been since I have actually played played. Everyone I’m friends with mains wow so I won’t delete for good. But there’s tons of other games to play.
