NO wrong you could always go back and solo basically anything dungeon even raids once a new Xpac came out ALWAYS.
Ion says it’s a skill issue. “Git gud” was the quote, I believe.
His parses are public. He is a straight carry on most fights.
I’m just coming back, who is this “Ion” and why is he relevant?
He’s the Senior Game Developer for WoW. The big cheese. #1 kahuna.
Reading this interview is so wild…wtf is going on here. It’s like the time that guy willingly fed himself to the cannibal and they filmed it together. Y’all are obviously more in touch than me so I know I don’t need to explain how frightening this dude’s attitude towards us and the game is.
WoW now caters to the 1% and the streamers. Only the community content creators have a say in the direction of this game.
They don’t think it’s broken. They actually think that it should not be too easy to kill content in certain places and that some minimum effort should be required no matter how old the content is.
Item level scaling was something Blizzard sneaked in during Legion (and didn’t even admit to, until players busted them and forced them to fess up).
Yep, the game director has even said that he expects players to “graduate” to group content. This would most likely be a part of that (very, very, VERY stupid) design decision.
One thing Blizzard’s been great at from WoD onwards has been finding new and creative ways to lose paying customers.
Cause td used to go brrrr it no longer goes brrrr
I support this theory. I do not think they like seeing the data say people are playing the old content for hours on end and doing the minimum required new content. I spent a lot of time during BfA doing old stuff and SL was so underwhelming i was going back and doing BfA stuff with the added bonus of feeling much weaker.
Can I borrow that?
This is the worst arguement ever made.
- Top end don’t care about xmog or old content or what the casual player base does.
- The choices blizz make i.e. master loot/covenant locks/conduit energy ect ect are all things despised by said groups.
Did you actually think about your response for a second or just vomit in the forums?
Yeah, I agree. It shouldn’t be harder, just the same as it was when you were at the end of the expac, not the beginning.
The OP is talking about open world content from the beginning of BFA.
Stuff we could solo when it was current content.
The two expac rule was for legacy scaling in raids(which they also scrapped for Legion raids for now).
But going back to kill rares and even world bosses in Legion zones during BFA was like being a demi-god. Thinks crumbled before you.
Now it takes longer to kill Legion world bosses than it did during any point in BFA.
BFA rares take longer to kill at 60 than they did during 8.2, which was before corruptions.
Even factoring in corruptions, gaining 10 levels and Covenant Skills and Soulbinds should have more than made up for it. Instead we fight like we have noodle arms.
Don’t worry, they know about this problem. And their answer is to… checks notes wait for 9.3 so that you can finally be powerful enough to solo raid bosses from two expansions ago.
I remember BT geared prot warriors easily soloing Fel Reavers.
I think this is very true. They want people playing and talking about the current game. They could easily solve the problem by ramping up drop rates for 10 year old content. That way people won’t have to go back and continually farm stuff from Wrath that they still don’t have.
Its not even the raids for me, just normal mobs in Nazjatar for example. Normally just hitting max level in the new xpac is enough to go back to the previous xpacs zones and roflstomp.
The game to easy then game to hard…now were complaining about old content this is a mmo you can put a group together if your having issues or ask your trusty guild mates.
