I could go back before

I could make a new character in Elywnn forrest and be back in time. I was in redridge helping my fellow alliance, throwing heals on random people as I travelled along. I was in Gnomeregan, tanking the hits for my group.

Then I came back to the city and for the first time saw this big red d@ldo of a warlock pet as a new addition to the game, a huge glaring reminder that I’m not really back.

I’ve unsubbed because of this. I thought it would be fun to try and come back, but clearly it’s just an impossible fever dream. They’ve added this, they’ll add that, a change here can result in a change there. Might not matter for some, might matter a lot for others. This matters a lot for me.

That creature is (imo) a monstrosity. It looks out of place next to the graphics in Classic. It’s too large and I’m not a fan of the artwork.
It’s an unfortunate addition.

Nah, I’ll just keep using the original, seething is a waste of energy.

What pet are we referencing?

Incubus, I imagine.

oh guess thats a retail thing

Lmao, imagine unsubbing because of a warlock pet

Tldr reeeee incubus

Pretty much this yeah. It was really upsetting to see.

Like I said, doesn’t matter to some, matters to others. Imagine not being such a tool?

It is pretty off-putting, not as bad as Wrath’s Body type 1 and Body type 2, but jarring to see.

I know the moment people complain about the incubus you’ll have some smartass coming in the thread saying how they’ll now only use it to make people like you mad, and the only reason you don’t like it is because you’re insecure about “sexy men”. That just isn’t the case for me though, I simply find the new model sticks out like a sore thumb and breaks all my immersion. That’s what I went back to classic for, the immersion and experience. Changing/adding “cosmetics” breaks that, as small a change as people might think cosmetics are - they actually matter.

What I don’t understand is why there isn’t a simple toggle so people who don’t want to see the new model(s) can just disable them.

Ooooh, you got me, quite literally the most pathetic reason I’ve seen someone make a “I’m quitting” post, but you do you, boo boo.

You must live quite a charmed life if this is what upsets you

I agree to see a body type 1 individual objectified like that turns my stomach

I should clarify - the decision Blizzard made to add this in to Classic Era was upsetting to me, as that’s a huge indicator they have no respect for the classic experience. Seeing a red sexy demon itself, does not upset me.

And now the game has one less whiney loser complaining about trivial things.

A net positive for the game, with zero negative gameplay implications

lol nice post little buddy.

of all the things they’ve done since 2019 that’s the one thing that stands out omegalul

I know this is like, REALLY hard to understand so I’ll just say it again:
Might not matter for some, might matter a lot for others.
I’m just suggesting a toggle/option so I don’t have to see new models. People can enjoy the new one if they like it, everyone else can disable it - everyone is happy.

What’s next though? Some store mounts? Maybe a quick Call of Duty commercial every time you take a flight path? That’s just cosmetic right, no affect on gameplay - so it wouldn’t matter. These are silly arguments though, because whatever they add next into classic era will be the result of whatever their next PR disaster is.

I simply hope you let Blizzard know when you cancelled your subscription why you did so. As cathartic as it may be to post it here it probably won’t have the same impact to the company.

Best of luck in your future endeavors.
