I changed my mind

Was going to stick to live. I always thought classic was a mistake fueled by nostalgia.

But after playing it for like a half hour… wow, it feels like wow again. It took me an hour to get to level 4. In live it takes me 30 min to get to level 10.

Glad you gave the game a shot and enjoyed it.

Welcome to the beginning and end of your social life

but its a form of euphoria, they found a way to bring that feeling back to players, and there is nothing bad about that. the best feeling in the world is reliving a memory that made you happy

30 minutes to get to level ten in live? Last time I played I hit 39 in an hour and i wasn’t really trying. Going to be SO nice to go back to actually playing the game rather than sleep walking my way to max level.

yes, I cant believe how hard quest mobs were, I completely forgot. u actually had to cc and sometimes even grp for regular quests.

Sorry to burst your bubble but no you simply cannot hit level 39 in 1 hour in retail it’s physically impossible

yeah you have to actually use your brain, and manage things like your bags, health and mana, and you can’t pull more than 1 mob to begin with.

I can’t wait to get back to it

I have no real intention of playing BfA again but with my sub up again while I was waiting on name reservation I made a new alt just to play around.

I hit level 5 and only ever took 5 total damage according to the stats tab. I’ve literally been hit only once.

Leveling in BfA has no point anymore except to try to sell level boosts.

Since I’m subscribed to wow now, I decided to make a new starter account and see what it’s like to experience retail as a new player…

I was taken aback.

I even took screenshots because I was honestly overwhelmed by all the cues and pop-ups on the screen. Is this… do people enjoy this? Is this actually helpful for anyone? I found it so distracting and useless that I immediately logged off.

Anyway, ready for classic :smiley_cat:

Off topic, but your transmog is incredible.

Much respect to you for giving it a shot.
Got a lot of people joinin our guild as well who never got to experience Classic WoW - some of whom who never played WoW at all.

Even as someone who beta tested WoW 15 years ago (in the week long pre-launch in 2004) I was a little afraid that all the hype was just my nostalgia, but playing through the most recent beta and stress test completely confirmed that I am legitimately excited to play the game and it will be just as fun now as it was then!

If you need help or want a wicked good guild lemme know (if you are rolling horde that is)

It will be fun in Classic for the progression to be so slow.

One hour and 7 minutes I have a SS of it

Your not wrong. But that feeling won’t last without substance driving it. Vanilla is a better game then retail, the core design philosophy is brilliant. It drives meaningful social interaction, and a genuine sense of accomplishment. Best case scenario, they add more content after naxx, and retain the core of Vanilla that made it so memorable to begin with.

Nothing wring with people enjoying the live/gogogo fast version that they streamlined for the general population over the years. Basically you dont need to deal with other people too saving time and speeding things up. Terrible attitudes and toxic environment.

Classic is a slower and more engaging game with alot more going on for people who care about their character and its growth and the people they play with. Other people enhance how fun the game is and people remember you.

( live was pruned over the years and not talking story/content, im talking fun rpg elements that made the game exciting and your character meaningful )

So obviously live isnt as “slow” but live wow lost alot of the wuality that made the game detailed and big over the years just to streamline stuff and make it all accessible for everyone.
