I think if someone in front of the queue is 2500, and the highest person to fill the group is at 2200 mmr then they should be matched up.
If you stomp them, let the 2500 player gain rating, if the 2200 player loses, let them not lose rating to compensate.
Stupid, idea. It just make win trading even more popular.
And to the OP, the game isn’t dead cuz nobody in the 0.1% queue at your odd time.

no life sweatlords wonder why their queue doesnt pop its because they farmed the rest of us out of it. Devs should update ranked and give the 1 or 2 new players who started this year a reason to queue

Class popularity is a factor, my DK was sitting 10s-2 minute q’s pre buff post buff it’s 20+ minutes. Way more people qing DK according to Drustvar.
ya duplicate protection means bad or unpopular specs don’t compete for a slot so in general should be easier getting into games
speaking of prot. how does one do any dmg as a prot warr? maybe its time to reroll prot for faster queues /nod
my favorite thing about shuffle is waiting 45 minutes for a game, and it being a 30+ mmr downpair into bad matchups
