I can't use my DRIVE car anymore

I’ve played the new patch for a bit finished 4/6 of the undermine chapters and did some of the side quests but i cant use my car anymore.

When I moused over my G-99 Breakneck button while I am in the undermine it says “Only available within Undermine.” I took it off my bars and the default center button never came back.

I have tried closing the game, switching zones, dying in undermine and other things. I made a macro with

#showtooltip G-99 Breakneck
/cast G-99 Breakneck

And put that on my bar to mimic the button but nothing happens. The weird thing is that I can practice the race from one of the dudes at the start. Can someone help me or ???

I made a video of myself clicking the drive macro, you can see the tooltip that it says only available in undermine. I get in a car using the practice race npc so i can drive on the road. I exit the car and try to use my button, but nothing. And I repeat it.

Self Bump. Played my DK through undermine. Once I got to the zone, the warband mount was displayed as a button on the center of my screen on my DK. I made an account wide macro to show the tooltip of G-99 breakneck and to cast it. I perform it on my DK with no problems. I switch to my mage and the macro for it does not work.

My mage is flagged for not being in undermine for some reason and the account wide macro is "X"d out compared to how it is shown on my DK.

Same issue on my main/this character. It was working, i went to do a quest, it now says “can only use in undermine”.
I tried:
/console reloadui.
Logging out and logging back in.
Exiting the game and restarting it.
leaving undermine to Dornogal and coming back.
Using my Garrison hearth and then going back to Undermine.
Starting a race at one of the Grimy Timekeepers; it DID auto-summon the G-99, then when I completed the race, it went right back to “Can only use in Undermine”.

To add insult to injury, a surge pricing event passed by while I was trying to get the car back on my main.

Bump/adding a new note:
used Engineering on Ereko to make the 22h Slicks. was able to use them, got the quest to go enable the upgrade. I can access the DRIVE customization thing at the garage, but still can’t summon the G-99 Breakneck.
/cast macros also don’t work.

Bump and a new note, now that the ticket I submitted has resulted in two form letters that barely even acknowledged what game the problem was for and did not mention anything to do with the problem, AND was marked “resolved” with no option to re-open it.

I just want to be able to play with the DRIVE thing on my main…

Also bumping this as I can’t access my car either. The button is gone, and reloading, macros, etc… nothing works. I have access to it on my other characters, but not my demon hunter.

I am having the same issue on my main as well. Exactly as everyone above is saying.

I have been having this issue ever since the patch dropped hoping that one of these hotfixes would actually fix the issue. I too am getting the GCD visualization like something happens but no car. Heck, I don’t even get the option to do the races! Those NPC’s are invisible to me. However, if I am in the raid, I can summon the car using the “/cast G-99 Breakneck” command.

For me, I think this was a group bug issue from the very beginning. My wife and I play grouped at all times. She completed the initial quest before I had a chance to look at it. I wanted to do the tutorial. We both picked up the quest at the same time, she turns hers in and got the extra action button. I tried to do the tutorial, the NPC says to click the rope to go down below; the rope is there. Click it, hit the ground, and there’s no car at all. So eventually, I just gave up and hit the option to skip the tutorial.

I’ve been bricked ever since.

Thank god I’m an engineer and can use my 2-player bike to do the delivery quests. It just absolutely sucks that I can’t do anything else car related, not even the races. I can do the sky races just fine.

As far as the world quest thing is concerned, I let my account sit for 2 weeks with nothing. Came back today (4/6/25) and completed every freaking daily quest I could find both actual quest and world quests. Still, after doing everything available, no car.

Yes, I reset my addons folder, I even went so as far as to completely shut the game down, renamed the addons folder to “xaddonsx” to force the game to create a brand spanking new one, and still nadda.

I submitted a bug report in game, but those typically go no where. So yea, I’m sure others are continuing to have the same problem as I. It’s very frustrating, especially when there’s weekly quests for drifting and achievements locked behind it.

Update - Today, 4/19/25; the Firework It world quest was up. As soon as we completed that quest, my button FINALLY appeared and is now working.
