Seriously, the voice acting in this expansion is atrocious.
All of the robotic monotone voice acting is driving me up the wall.
I get it, theyre supposed to be robotic. But are they? Half the earthens have normal energetic voices and half are monotone.
I dont care about a single earthen so far because none of them have any personality. When one dies in the campaign i legit felt nothing, coming from someone who was a baby and teared up at a couple dragonflight quests.
I get it, minor complaint but if you want people to care about your characters dont make their voices sound like theyre giving a presentation at 5am with no coffee.

I dunno, i love the earthen.
Even cried like a baby for korgran
I love the robotic voices. When I first got talked to on the beach I was like in awe and double wanted to make an Earthen.
I couldn’t wait to get under dornogal
The only one i like is the one in the ringing depths who wanders and cleans the moss off her deactivated friends, and shes just a side quest.
Thats as far as i am right now. Im questing with the Dock ock npc and her voice is so grating to me.
I never thought I’d find anything worse than the Dracthyr model. But wow.

It’s weird because Titanforged in Ulduar were forged as such, like the Iron Vrykul, and they sounded normal.
It’s a creative choice, but reminder that even Mechagnomes sounded like Gnomes and not really just robots.
That’s actually embarrassing to say that on the Internet… This earthen dwarf isn’t real
Ysera’s death in legion yeah I will understand your emotions since that’s a character is around for years. A random earthern you’ll forget 3 months down the road… Yeah
You only knew him for about 30 minutes and you got attached that quickly over a pixelated character?
I will try to not have emotions going forwards, just for you
Would rather the metallic filter over dwarves or something. It’s weird hearing Kyrian-style voices come out of dwarves.

I think that’s just the problem.
When we fought Earthen in Vanilla, in Uldaman, they sounded like dwarves.
There was never an Earthen that sounded robotic, until now.

Good thing you pre ordered clown op
I’ve never really been a fan of any of the robots in WoW. These Earthen are also among that group. It has just never really felt completely consistent with the rest of the setting.
For the Earthen, though, I’m going to go with my head canon that they learned to talk from interfacing with Titan machines. Their monotone, robot-like speech isn’t because they are fully robots themselves, but that’s just how they’ve learned to talk. Thinking that has helped me like them more.
