i cant seem to find a crafted strength 1h, ilvl 400 1h weapon . i only can find agility crafted 400 1h weapons.
is this a mistake. i checked on horde and alliance on 2 different servers

that is the one i kept seeing, unfortunately its agility. i hope they fix it to strength
I don’t know if it’s a bug or intended, but the Cutlass previously was always the 1 handed strength weapon and Engineering made a 1 handed agility mace. Engineering did get a 400 ilvl version of the mace, so not sure why the 400 version of the Cutlass is agility too.

was looking to make one the other day for a prot set and it seems someone made our sword agi despite every other prior version of it was a str weapon.
It is a mistake, one I asked blizzard to fix because that cutlass all expansion long used to be a strength weapon. All they need to do is add strength on it and keep the agility as well.
And they do need to keep agility on it because I have sold 100s of those already since 8.3 and some people did buy for the agility.

Demon hunters were without crafted weapons before - they use one handed swords as do rogues.
So why not switch them? Make the sword agility for the Rogues and Demon Hunters, and switch the mace. They could even switch the profession while they’re at it. Let the black smiths make the mace.
Every strength based class can use maces.
I still need a weapon for my Warrior alt. I can’t get one to drop for me, and I just need something to replace my 370.
They should just let frost DK use 2h so they don’t have to have two different weapons for the specs.
The issue would fall with shaman then. The easier solution would be to keep the sword strength and just turn the engineering agility mace into an axe… shamans, outlaw rogues, demon hunters and monks can all use axes. Now tanks and frost death knights are without weapons outside of RNG based world and mythic drops… which are rare.
