I can’t level 1-30 anymore due to the plague that is HC characters infesting every server and clogging up quest mobs that they can’t even group for because of fake rules.
I could level 1-30 without seeing a single person a month ago.
Please ban this illegal addon and make official HC servers.
I mean, you could always roll on literally any other server besides bloodsail buccaneers. If you are rolling there, then it is you creating a problem to complain about.
Roll on the 10 servers that are connected to Whitemane. Bloodsail Buccaneers are for Hardcore Ironman.

They have infested the other servers. The plague needs to be quarantined.
He’s not wrong. ALL era servers have become infested with these types of people. Cant wait for blizzard to make some kind of official HC server so they leave. I dont mind them playing here in itself, but the toxic behavior and quest/node sniping and griefing is getting out of hand.
The problem isnt the addon or the concept, but rather the “type” of people that follow streamers and are currently drawn to this new novelty… and those types of people bring toxicity to Era that we could do without.
Streamers only started streaming HC because the money from DF was slowing down and they were getting sad.
These people are literally just feeding streamers.
It was nice a few months ago before the streamers and their followers got ahold of this. Rest assured, everything they do is shallow and temporary, and they’ll be gone soon enough, once some other game catches their limited attention.
Another thing is they tend to be less prevalent after level 40 or so. Most of these retail tourists cant handle the 45-60 grind and/or they die and reroll by then. Them deleting their characters is the best part of this hardcore plague… good riddance.
It’s a fad, people will move on lol. If anything, you’re getting something very similar to the Classic launch in 2019. It was very hard to do quests because of so many people. I’ve been playing on Pagle and it’s been busy, but not so bad.
More people is better. It’s unfortunate that HC people don’t want to group with others because of the rules, but even then, when the HC tourists get tired of the game mode by level 20, which is very likely for most folks, I’m willing to bet a portion of them stay and just level normally.
I’d suggest that you just be friendly and welcoming… show people why Era is awesome. If not finding a mob is bumming you out, play another char for a while. It will get better.
I think the main problem isnt that they arent grouping or that they’re doing HC mode, its that they are toxic people hellbent on griefing others for sake of being cruel. Ive seen such poisonous behavor associated with these HC types (not everyone, but most) and that’s the main issue. Normal quest/mob competition and crowding is not what we mean.
Where though, there is no official HC server. You’re going to have to bear with it . The popularly will fade, you’ll see.
Exactly, after the 10th fail, they’ll lose interest.
It already fades after level ~40. Most of these jabronis die and delete by then, or get burnt out on the grind to 60. There is hope for a nice, hardcore-free Classic Era experience once you get past that point in the leveling process.
Even some of us who are doing the HC thing feel so relieved when we leave the masses behind. As I mentioned in some other thread, the players who have started recently because of the fad have been some of the most obnoxious people I’ve encountered ever. It kinda sucks.
Yea that’s my experience as well. Like i said, i have 0 issue with people doing the HC challenge. Play they way you want to play. Its the outwardly toxic behavior that some of these HC newcomers have that i take issue with. I suspect its the “poggers” crowd, as usual.
Roll on Mankrik PVE if you don’t want hardcore players. Bloodsail has been over run by them. The PVE server cluster is doing just as good as the pvp cluster.
Im on Whitemane (PvP) so i can only speak for Whitemane, but there are definitely hardcore players here too. Its not just a Bloodsail Buccaneers problem.
I’ve been playing on Mankrik for the last one and a half month and have yet to see a HC character, lol.
So cringe to see these anti hardcore posts; seems like WoW players don’t like when other people have fun.
You misread our posts. We dont “dislike when others players are having fun”. Its quite the opposite. We are annoyed with the griefing, the outward toxicity/hate towards others, and the general poisonous behavor of the new wave of HC players are bringing to our beloved Era realms.
If they were just playing HC and minding their own business, that’d be one thing… but that’s not what’s happening here.

Yes, you do, and it’s so fraking cringe. There are countless servers and clusters, from the empty and dead ones to those full of life like Mankrik and Whitemane, and even so you choose to roll on Bloodsail (the only one with a significant amount of HC players) and complain about HC. I do agree that it is annoying for normal players to play with hardcore ones, and vice-versa, but you are literally creating a problem for yourself going exactly where they are. And they are paying customers like anyone else, these guys have no obligation whatsoever to play in a way tha appeaes you, lol.
Just kill them. i.e. PVP solution to PVP problem.
