So, i created a new character and get 70, but i cant get to the maw, when i jump the portal i get tp back to oribos, this only happens with this new character, will i have to do all the storyline?, also theres no other quests in oribos, zereth mortis portal doesnt show up too.
The only quests of Shadowlands that i have is bastion storyline.
I cant even click the maw map.
Have you done the campaign on another character in the past? There’s no way to skip it completely, but as long as you have done it once you can skip a lot.
The details depend on some things, but the general progression is:
Get to 60
Choose Threads of Fate
Pick a Covenant
Go to your covenant base and do the intro, taking any skips offered, eventually they send you back to Oribos to see Bolvar
Bolvar offers the Torghast intro and a skip if you have done it before
I’m sure you’ve found a fix for this by now, but for the sake of others, here is how I fixed this on my Horde character:
Make sure you’re tracking low-level quests. This helps, but isn’t necessary.
Go to The Valley of Strength in Orgrimmar.
Just outside the Warchief’s building you will see Highlord Darion Morgraine
He should offer the quest Shadowlands: A Chilling Summons
Once you accept this, you can choose to take a skip to go to Oribos, after which you will get the Thread of Fate quest from Fatescribe Roh-Tahl and will be able to select either skipping the campaign or undertaking those quests.
I would assume there is a similar location to meet the Highlord in Stormwind for Alliance players, but I have not tested this.
As I recall, you get sent to the Maw as part of the first quests after choosing your covenant. There used to be a level requirement, but now that players can level through Shadowlands, I don’t know. But either way, “unlocking” the Maw is part of the covenant campaign and afaik, unavoidable the first time around.
