There’s a bunch of them. Don’t have an aneurysm over one of them being part of a limited time event that passed, the rest are all obtainable either from reputations, achievements, or a lot of gold.

That is a nice mount.
Ok, i get your point, and is legitim. I’m not proud for been playing in a pirate server. Also, wasn’t the best experience, bugs there are a plague. Also, i never spent a cent in those servers, i never bought anything from their stores wich is the mean by they get profit. My only presence was the only good for that server, filling the population of their realms (that are around only 4).
Also, i personaly think that those servers are a good thing for Blizzard. They are free publicity, but, wich what cost? Actually with no cost, because the people that are there, for one reason or another, are not going to play in WoW oficial either, and trust me, that’s a fact that you can corroborate after playing there for 8 years. Wich means that Blizzard is not wining clients for that, but also is not gaining clients.
And even more, several people who play in pirates server eventually move to oficial WoW for other reasons that i’m going to explain you in a second, and for that reason pirates servers are a great way to introduce in WoW oficial people who probably will not do it in other way. You can check this in a Latin American oficial WoW forum where several people say in a particular thread that they started playing in pirates and then they move to oficial WoW for good. And now, you may ask ¿why they didn’t start playing in oficial WoW since the begining? Because WoW pirates servers are the starting experience of the game for several people in the World that can’t pay the sub or buy a good computer to run properly the last expansion of WoW. Yes, not everybody in the World we can get those things so easy, the third world exist, and in those countries (like mine) economy is weak compared to U.S.A echonomy, and that why several people around the world play in pirates servers. I’m not saying that is a good thing, or something that must be encourage, but you must know that there is more than you think to know why that happen.
IMPORTANT ACLARATION / TL;DR: Is not my intention or wish encouraging people to play in pirates servers, i know that their existence is illegal, or at least is illegal in some countries. I’m just portraying what i think that happen with this issue, and how in some way is not complety bad for Blizzard busines. Even so, i agree, understand and suport any Blizzard legal action who made, is making or will make in order to defend their interests on this particular situation.
If you want Hippogryph there are others besides the pre BFA one…
I have the Teldrassil one and I am not too keen on him. I like the Cenarion War Hippogryph better.
I totally agree… Some mounts that they take away should at least have a second go to get them… especially the teldrassil hippogryph. Even my fiancee has it and it kills me. I would of been able to get it but i was too busy leveling and grinding for flying and races during legion to even hear or see anything about this mount. i never even knew about it mount until recently and it pisses me off cause im always the one who misses out on content. If i could buy or earn it some other way, i would.
I’m sorry dude. That’s why you should do pre patch events. My current plan is to do SL pre patch, re-join mid expansion after flying comes out, maybe a little bit before so I can get ahead on teh reps.
Dude, why wouldn’t you do the major event of the transition to BFA? like I kinda get being distracted, but the questline really wasn’t THAT long.
Make sure you play the scourge shadowlands pre-expansion event. will be a lot of limited time goodies to obtain
1 year later
I have never considered special event exclusive rewards as a marketing tactic, I have always seen them as a participation reward that becomes an exclusive, a “I was there” t-shirt so to speak.
I have very few of any exlusive items so I am on the outside looking in.
I think there are too many things that get removed from the game. But a few special event or time-limited ones are fine.
It’s a rare item, thus it has greater value and more meaning.
Some people like that, others don’t. I’m sure if you polled the community you’d likely find more people like it this way.
I do enjoy riding my single polygon around
I don’t remember any other than the mount and the cata pet/toy.
I’m detecting necromancy in this thread.
You had a chance, in the pre launch event.
Exclusivity makes MMOs interesting, people wanting everything, not.
Burning Crusade prelaunch:
Wrath of the Lich King prelaunch:
Also had a bunch of on use trinkets to summon different nifty things.
Cataclysm stuff before prepatch:
Mists of Pandaria prelaunch:
Warlords of Draenor:
… a title. Yay.
(maybe we should’ve caught on right then and there… )
Legion prelaunch:
And the four Fel armor ensembles, along with some weapons.
Battle for Azeroth prelaunch event:
I have this mount, and some other things that are retired (like Mad World, shameless brag).
It, and every other retired mount, pet, transmog, and title, should be un-retired. Make them hard to get, not impossible.
Anyone who disagrees with that: I drink your tears.
If you happen to have one of the Gladiator mounts and you disagree with what I said: I drink your tears and what you call PvP is a joke.
don’t forget
Man this is the type of thread i could see myself posting in, lets check it out… oh i did post in it, 18 months ago.
