I cant find a class

ive been playing this game for maybe a week or so now, and ive tried to play every class using the trial system, and i just cant find a class that actually just clicks with me?

they all seem really boring :frowning: maybe wow isnt for me but i just dont understand how any of this is fun.

i tried levelling a resto shaman, do you think that might be fun? the class trials dont offer resto shaman so i cant test it out!

welcome to the new WoW, so bad that not even new player are clicking with classes.

im really trying my hardest to like it!

If you can’t click with any of the classes then yes I would say that WoW is not for you. And I don’t mean that in a mean way. It can happen, but the vast majority of people manage to click with one class and one spec, thus having their main.

I find rogues, druids, and shamans to be the most “fun.” Very unique. Druids are flexible and can take on different roles. Rogues can stealth around and allow you to explore freely. Shamans have a very fun theme to them

that sucks then :frowning:

Every class is tuned for grandmas so if you’re not old and slow yet you prob find them boring.

i think id like mage more if i could actually use all schools of magic as a part of my rotation (frost, fire and arcane) except its just you choose either one of the three

Then it won’t be accesible enough.

DK used to have 4 colored rune but grandmas can’t keep up so they make it 1 color for accesibility.

but it my opinion it makes the class really bland :frowning:

Class trials aren’t a great way to see if you enjoy a class, to be honest. They’re okay for a snap shot, but it’s not ideal. Have you tried all three specs of the hunter class? I always found them enjoyable because they give you a tangible way of interacting in the world by taming creatures (rare or otherwise) which really added a lot to the game for me. Alternatively, I’ve found Fury warrior to be a lot of fun as well.

i do like hunters! its just thematically i really like magic, but i guess if hunters are fun i should give it more of a shot

what kind of content are you testing the trials on exactly?

class rotation is one of your worries there are many more which includes mechanics, trinkets, racials, etc… these ALL will vary your rotation in a form. if all you are doing is questing then yes it will be boring you need to run harder content like raiding, pvp, M+ to really enjoy the game outside of the storyline for the most part. questing is typically boring to begin with nor hard.

they also pruned the hell out of the classes back in Legion or WoD thus why they are unpruning them in shadowlands a little. the enjoyment is still their tbh you just need to push challenging content.

Understandable. I’m still crossing my fingers for a melee spell-damage based class that’s int based for stats. It’ll happen one day. One day.

As far as it goes for hunters:

Beast Master - Two pets; exotic pets (Devilsaurs, etc)
Survival - Melee polearm users with one pet(Basically Dragoons tbqh)
Marksman - No pet; sniper

If you want to see what sort of pets are available, I suggest the Petopia website.

Ignore the negativity. People on forums never have anything nice to say.

Yes, the trial only let’s you test one spec, but once that part of the trial is over you can test out the other specs and see how you like them. Try out all three specs for the magic classes, since you’re into magic, and see how you like them! Also you may want to test out these classes as a low level as well and see if you can get a feel for them that way.

My first class was an elemental shaman, I tried rogue, but like you, being a magic user just seemed more suitable to me

well, right now all im doing is levelling different characters, i havent even hit 60 on a single one yet so maybe im judging too hard. but yeah, i dont know if i wanna either heal or dps

You might like healing, it’s highly appreciated in this game. They’re also magic users

What can also help is that you could try leveling a few to a certain level especially since you’re new instead of a trial for now. It can feel overwhelming to have a lot of skills and mechanics at once and put some people off.
