Problem may be the connection from Australia to US.

Mayhaps, I’m in Japan and can make US characters fine
I can connect to US servers but my Character Creation times out (AUS)

yeah i have an alt on a US server to play with a friend, trying to log into it and at first i get a black screen, after waiting character appears and loading screen takes ages only to bring me back to character select with “character not found”
im in NZ so must be a problem from our side of the world? seems kinda strange
Same thing here, tried to log into a medium us pvp server while the oceanic servers are down and it says character not found after the loading screen

AlSO, list of servers don’t show the number of characters you have on them.
Click on the Server,
Log in
Black screen,
Click on enter world and then error - character not found.
Glad it’s not just me. I’m in Aus but I can’t log into my character on a US realm (Incendius) - takes a while to even log into the server, get a black screen for a little while, then my character shows up but when I log in I get about 3/4 through the loading bar before I’m kicked back to the character select screen with a “Character Not Found” error

I doubt US has anything to do with Aus other than “WoW”

Same deal, can’t get onto any of my characters on bloodsail bucceneers. I just time out on loading screen and see “character not found” after I load back to character select. This is so bone.
I’m the same. My original Vanilla guild has reformed and is playing on a US server and so I’m taking the ping hit and playing with them. However, I can’t log into my toon on Whitemane, I’m getting either the black character select screen or when I finally do get to choose my character, I’m told “Character Not Found” after about 5 minutes of loading screen.
I’m not really one to complain too much, I didn’t even play on Launch Day because I felt it wouldn’t be very enjoyable. But this is several days in now and not only can I not play my main on a US server but I can’t play my alt on Oceanic either. One or the other, I could deal with no worries. Both at once? I’m not too happy, especially since my guild are all playing on that very server right now without issue.

Adding myself to the list. Sydney AUS area and can connect to US servers, but no characters or character creation goes through.
Same here, Melbourne based on US server.
Tried making a throw-away alt on a random NA server, “character creation timed out” is what I keep seeing. This is such crap, I bet the NA users can make and load characters just fine.
Maybe this is the best solution. Complete database wipe
Connecting to the US by nord VPN did not fix it. Have they just mangle authentication for all oceanic accounts?
It’s not just Australia. I’m playing from Sweden and getting character creation timing out.
