I can't create more characters, above 50 in my kingdom

I saw on wowhead that you could create 60 characters, but here it’s only 50, the create characters button didn’t appear, knowing I already have 50 characters.

If the cap was raised, Blizzard would announce it.

It was reported in WowHead, though:

I am able to make more than 50 on my account. Have you clicked to load into each of the realms you’ve had characters on, even old ones you might not play on anymore? I’ve seen other players report having issues with the character count getting stuck due to some ghost data there.

it was a screenshot from the PTR… was there any official patch notes which stated this?

because i couldn’t see anything.

interesting.

what happens if you try a different server?

Maybe it will become active with the November 15th patch.

Patience.

I’ve not seen anything in the patch notes, but sometimes they omit strange things. Gamerant’s article I found said it was live with 10.0. Since all classes could play rogue/mage/priest with prepatch, that was one of the reasons they seem to have increased the count, not just for evokers on the 15th.

https://gamerant.com/world-of-warcraft-60-character-slots-dragonflight/

It is already live, though. Unless I’m special lol.

Blizzards own support article hasn’t been updated to reflect any change either.

It seems like it would be a pretty big thing for them to not mention

How on earth do you keep up with them all?

I have a full account ie 50 characters that has that button active. However, I do not have an account with 50 characters on the same server. Perhaps they left that cap as an oversight.

Wait, your observation is that the account limit is raised but apparently the server limit isn’t?

That would be an odd oversight, but probably not the weirdest one they’ve done.

I don’t keep up with them all, but I do have two accounts (the second one is almost full, too). I usually use them for professions, achievements, new race combos, farming, learning new specs, or saving a name. I usually only focus on 5-8 characters in current content, possibly adding a new class to the list when I get bored or see which classes feel better to play. I focused alliance characters early SL and horde late SL. Generally, one of each class on each faction is in the pool I choose from.

I start a project. I finish that project and park the characters I used on it and start a new project. Sometimes I can recycle characters into the next project, other times I may roll a new one or more.
