I cannot, in good conscience

Genuinely curious. When you have a variety of jobs you literally don’t need…why should an employer keep them?

You’re looking at it in the wrong way. If we stay Blizzard/Activison continues on business as usual. May even increase their exploitative business practices. But if we start leaving and they see our wallets going with us, I think that there would be a chance of them panicking. Because not making their stockholders happy and themselves rich is the last thing that they want!

So where would your wallet go? I am hardpressed to find a company that doesn’t deal in lay offs.

having some comprehension issues again, I see.
Try rereading what I said VERBATIM without your adjustments to what was actually stated…k?
Thanks then.

So you aren’t going to answer a very basic question.

I like how hard you stick around here trolling.

My question is completely relevant and important to your statement. I changed nothing you stated. I made no “adjustments”. I asked a simple question.

learn to read.
We’re done here.
and speaking of trolling…find a mirror

Of course we are.

That is what typically happens when a person finds that what they are talking about doesn’t make sense or apply to the situation.

around 07 or 08 a major bank that had been around for eons who we had accounts with went under. Chase ended up acquiring it pretty cheap afterward.
The main reason it happened was the financial scare caused a run on the bank.
It didnt learn any lessons. It just failed entirely.
We’d probably ought to be very careful about hoping or trying to get massive numbers of players to just up and leave suddenly.
By the time the lesson is learned they might be unplugging those servers.

So did they ask prior to WoD if the player base WANTED flight removed? Or did they just decide it was being removed and players had to quit in droves and others threaten to quit to scare them into this useless abomination called pathfinder.

My guess is based on tons of comments all over the web that many players HAVE been offering constructive criticism…including on the PTR…and it gets ignored wholesale until people are threatening to quit …or just quit.

It shouldnt have to be that way but Blizzard/acticrap are the ones making the calls. If they arent going to listen people are going to scream.

Which is why its never a good idea for any company to go public.
investors ARE parasites who dont have any real concern for the company they are leeching from. If Activision goes bankrupt, they dont care. They’ll just move their money to some other company to leech off of doing absolutely no work and offering nothing of any real value to the equation.

No game company listens to their playerbase on how to implement 100% of mechanics. That would be insane.

And just because feedback is given, does not mean it should be required to be implemented.

Plenty of pieces of feedback regularly get listened to. Its just trendy to say that all gets ignored.

Could Blizzard do better? Definitely. But are they ignoring all feedback? No. They just aren’t obeying every bit of feedback that comes in.

You just replied and carried on the conversation with your own post? :stuck_out_tongue:

So my only voice is to cancel my sub, but I shouldn’t because people will lose their jobs?

That really puts the millions of people who quit since Cata in an ethical dilemma.

I think I’ll exercise my one right.

They learned pretty fast on Real ID. I don’t remember if that needed a massive sub loss or just lots of noise.

They learned REALLY FAST about flight. That’s the kind of response you get from huge numbers of players cancelling subs.

I’m exercising my one way to be heard. If, or how fast, they learn is completely on them.

Personally Id hate to see the game shut down over this crap.
A company who makes a GAME so UNfun that it annoys players who literally WANT to pay to play it.
Its like Im living in Bizzaro world.

Theres a difference between profit and revenue. They had record revenue, but not a much profitable growth.

Im not defending the decision actiblizz made, but people have to get the facts right.

100% agree. I understand getting rid of redundancies but 778 redundant positions? I really feel like I don’t want to support Blizzard after this mess.

Also, the number isn’t just 778, that was this wave of firings. There already was a wave of firings in Europe and will be more. The number is closer to 900 at least and will grow.

This poster , and those who up voted them, have absolutely no understanding of why businesses exist whatsoever. Businesses exist in order to maximize profits, and subsequently jobs are offered simply because work has to be done. This is a rather simple concept, but whenever layoffs occur, then all of the socialists always reply on how it is wrong to layoff workers, even though the most controllable expense is a business’ payroll.

The U.S. economy is actually in a boom currently, and there are more jobs available then there are job seekers, and this is referenced from the Dept. of Labor’s statistics, which means these unemployed won’t be for that long. This is assuming that they actually seek another job.

Also, boycotts really don’t end up having any real effect, either.

About 1 in every 100 people is a psychopath. Though about 10 in 100 have psychopathic tendencies.

Psychopaths gravitate towards forums and trolling. (They are also over represented among CEO’s. Where about 4% of CEO’s are psychopaths.)

So internet trolls tend to be sadists or psychopaths…

Hence my request that the nice person who is leaving because she doesn’t like corporate psychopathy not leave me alone on these forums with the trolls who are more likely to be psychopaths.

At the end of the day it’s the people who are gleeful at the loss of unemployment that I’m referring too.

I’m having fun, and have since I started playing during the Burning Crusade expansion.
