His name is Raul.
I love everything about this. Raul ftw!
Congratulations! That’s exciting!!
They are cute little fluff balls. I’m personally a ferret guy, I love the bouncy little weasel clowns. I miss my boy Louie and Sid and Didge.
They always get so fat and become cuddle bugs lol. They just sadly don’t live but 7 years max. I don’t trust cardboard bedding, think Didge accidentally ate some in his bowl…I went in to let him out thought he was asleep.
Made the joke “oh no he dead”. Only to open the door and touch a stiff cold fur noodle.
Gave him a burial and a little headstone.
Sorry don’t mean to go into depression. Truly grats to you! Their lives are short but while they are here for us to love briefly in life remember they will love you with their whole lives. Take care and spoil your fur baby! Make their life full of fun and play.
Chinchillas are awesome. I had mine for 17 years before she passed. It’s fun to watch them in their dust bath.
I’m sorry. I know how that feels.
Wow I didn’t know chinchillas lived that long!
I’d say that the feeling of loosing a buddy is so painful.
Louie was my first kiddo and got him when I was 18 he’d climb into bed and sleep on my pillow by my neck. Friends found a homeless ferret on the road thought it was mine she was covered in fleas so I cleaned her up and took her in she was super skinny. Named her luci. When I had to go to basic training in the army I left them with a family friend and apparently Luci had come down with a brain parasite that drove her crazy and she passed…Louie started to show symptoms too so they euthanize him so he wouldn’t suffer…
I felt so terrible hearing that because I never got to say goodbye to my best friend. I tend to buy the big bear looking sable male ferrets that remind me of him… They always end up being the best buddies…
My buddy inherited a chinchilla from an ex of his years and years ago. He was cool. He would nibble on your fingertips so his name was Nibbler. His dust baths were hilarious.
Wait a minute here, pics or it didn’t happen. I’d love to see a Chinchilla.
what the fish is chinchi whatever ?
Think of it like a cross between a rabbit and a mouse. Looks more like the mouse, but closer to the size of a rabbit.
Very cute, uncommon kind of pet.
I bought a Kitten, name is Pumpkin :3
Used to work at a Pet Shop after finishing high school, we actually had a breeding pair of chinchilla on site and bred the ones we sold. Occasionally one would be born albino, or sometimes have other issues, usually the ones with the real issues we’d keep and care for, use to show people what a chinchilla is, teach them a few things about them (like the spots they seem to like bein’ scratched the most) and such, my favorite of those was a one eyed albino we had (we named him Cy, yes, clever, I know lol) and would just let him chill out during the day in one of our cargo pant pockets, or hoodie pocket and such. Good times.
I am not usually a nice person, but even I can sympathize with losing a beloved pet out of nowhere. No one deserves that pain. I went to a business trip and told my family to take special care of my autistic german shepherd. They sent her to a dog hotel, she died that very day.
Haven’t forgiven them for that either.
I babysat the one of my son & wife’s a few years ago. They had to wrest the poor guy back from me! I love it when they clean themselves in that dust box! And that running ball around the house, so much fun. Man, they get loose and can fit and hide in the timiest places! Their fridge sides were barricaded!
Have fun! Love the name.
They really love this kind of pet.
I used to have a ferret. His name was Killer.
Chinchilla! I call them Darwin’s Grabbag. It’s like a mouse mixed with a rabbit and a squirrel. Their fur is very unique, extremely soft and because of how dense it is, they’re like Gremlins, you can’t get them wet. Theg take dust baths.
The worst part is that they make these little guys into coats.
grats, dogs are the best, have a black lab and an Australian cattle dog
I ate an extra spicy chimichanga yesterday, I call it a bad decision.
