first you have to do what I do
have a hand a bit too small for the mouse
bind wild charge to the first button on the thumbpad
bind moonfire to the one right under it

accidently hit wild charge all the time when reaching for moonfire, and find yourself charging into places you did not intend to go.

that is how you win with an mmo mouse

i’m a professional keyboard turner, all my spells are bind to my mouse so i can dedicate my left hand to do keyboard turning

Ok, then you may raid mythics now

It took me i think 10 multi-hour days to teach myself to use a 12 thumb button mouse. Day 9 I was frustrated to the point I was going to throw the damn hopeless thing away, day 10 I was using it just fine and thought ‘huh’

12 buttons on a mouse seems too much to me, I’d be able to handle like 6 buttons max with my smooth brain.

What mouse did you get? Naga? Logitech?

G600 ftw

Corsair Scimitar (did i spelled that right),

It’s actually really easy once you get used to it. Problem is, once you get used to, you can never go back to using a 1 - 12 on your keyboard for gaming purposes.

i look at my thumb whenever i’m going to use a spell

It works with Blink and Fire Blast too.

That’s a very good mouse, you should enjoy the game more now, build muscle memory early though, it’ll help you out later.

Good luck!

Once upon a time I was a fan, 3 broken G602’s later, not so much.

Corsair is great and has outlasted the Logitech mice by a long margin.

My issue is my 2 dogs running in and out of the house, despite my house being clean it still creates a lot of micro dust that lands on my giant mouse mat and eventually goes into the mouse, which kills it real quick.

Not happened with Corsair.

I went through 3 naga’s in 6 months at 75 a pop, bought this g600 almost 7 years ago for 35 and still workin great.

I bought another one about 3 years ago for a spare, its still in the unopened box.

If you sit while gaming I would recommend getting a foot pad. They’re really good nowadays. For standing I’d probably go with a mouse but not a huge fan of them. I’ve never had good luck with then lasting for very long.

i play on a laptop, on my bed

Logitech make some great gear, I used it exclusively for decades, great it’s doing you so well and saving you money too!

Have a great weekend!

I bought one and could never get a feel for the button layout and locations so I never use any of the buttons that I have to carefully grip around

You cant look, you have to build the muscle memory. It helped me to open notepad (or a chat box etc) and think of 1 through = and try to hit it. I failed horribly for days, then it just clicked like flipping a switch.
