I believe the pvp damage nerf will make certain specs no longer viable

Braindead take honestly. If they reduce EVERYONES damage by the same amount then literally NOTHING changes. The OP classes will hit less hard, but so will the non OP classes by the exact same margin. The only thing that changes with this is how long it takes you to die.

The 10% to Chim buff will come nowhere near offsetting the damage reduction aura. The problem with Hunters is that they rely on being able to set up strong burst damage in quick windows because of their awful sustainability and their deadzone.

Casters will rot them away with DoTs they cannot counter or heal away, and melee will just camp on them in their deadzone as melee mobility in SoD has outscaled Hunters ability to kite them.

I mean imagine fighting an enhancement shaman with the DR aura with ES, Riptide and Freedom totem lol

theres no maybe about es riptide. the only maybe is will you kill every class before going oom

it also gives dispel protection for msw. a lot of people dont realize how fast you can flatten an enh by offensive dispelling their msw stacks.

this is a huge nerf to non-hybrids

Rogues are killing within a stun lock, that’s not correct period. Normally you’re supposed to be able to survive with at least 30% hp

youre ignoring that another avenue of a pvp victory is now opening up and thats mana burn/viper/drain mana. all of which hurt hybrids quite a bit.

for boomies(and feral sadly) this will be a big nerf because 10 seconds of frenzied regen will not last the entire pvp encounter and without it the ability to outlast will be majorly nerfed. offensive dispels from priests will see more use since every global will no longer be used trying to keep people alive. a lot will change no matter what % they add. if they add too much a lot will change in a bad way

To be fair, your entire post was “I won’t be able kill people without counterplay when they don’t have a PvP trinket anymore”.

Obviously the opener is very important for a Rogue, but that doesn’t mean they should unequivocally be able to kill any class during it without recourse unless they have a trinket.

Even without the kill it does still put you at a significant advantage against the opponent, which is what it should do. If you are doing 60-70% of someone’s health in the opener that should be a fair offset for being a bit more vulnerable toe-to-toe.

If they do trinket your opener, that’s when you can get the reset and reopen. You’re only trading a 3.5min cd for a 5min cd, so you again have the advantage and still get your opener.

Are you seriously trying to argue that stun locking from 100 to 0 is somehow good gameplay? That removing agency from half the equation in pvp is somehow inherently not broken? People should not be stunlocked to death, it is bad gameplay.

Yes, but you also have to take into account the damage this means we will also survive. Which is a pretty huge step in the right direction, don’t get me wrong I’m also not looking forward to how much stronger this will make our counters, like spriest and warlock, but the simple fact they’re doing this shows they have the right idea. Just all fine tuning from there.

Learn your class better, stop getting hyper-defensive. You mention teamplay earlier, now you’re posting scenarios where it sounds like you’re the only person in the game, pick an argument and stop moving goalposts. Rogue is a control and utility spec for your team, that is the intent.

That gameplay is exactly why I’m liking this direction, I haven’t logged on in a week because there is absolutely nothing fun about killing every singular person in a CS/BTE combination. I play sub and I’m still doing that to most classes I can only imagine what assas/DB is doing. Yes the initial iteration is probably going to be pretty awful, but it’s a step in the right direction imo.

Bro you don’t need deadly brew or envenom. Spec sub, pick up prep, put 5 points into opportunity, 3 point into improved backstab, and then the most important step, slot Mutilate. GG.

what server are you playing on that a level 40 rogue is the top one? I’m on wild growth and I have been gang’d locked by so many rogues now I cant even name half of them. I agree the rogue damage isnt very good (its almost laughable in pvp) but rogues can just have a continueous lock down and in that window, im toast without a few heals.

I saw a 748gs rogue for a split second, i didnt even get to see how his score was that high lol

They want it to take longer to die so people have more time to utilize their kit AND MOST IMPORTANTLY WHICH OF ALL YOU SOLO PLAYER IDIOTS FORGET, so your healers have a full global to actually cast heals on you. I swear the forum is full of org dueling narcissists with 0 thought on group play in an MMORPG.
