I beat the game. I won Shadowlands

Completely agree. I liked your entire post.

It would be so nice to have a place just to discuss the game, strategies, etc. The toxic few really make it hard to do that here.

In 2021 you aren’t allowed to have differing opinions. Everyone must think the same at all times. Echo chamber!

On the contrary, these days, the people defending Blizzard are the ones who seem to have the differing opinions.

So if that’s not toxic what is?

There is nothing toxic about what I said. It is just the truth.

That’s not only original but accurate as well. Obviously the drop from 15 million players worldwide at the game’s height to the current ~3 million indicates everyone who says they’re leaving is too addicted to actually leave.

The people that bother making posts just to tell others they’re leaving are the ones that will stick around.

Citation needed.

A broken clock is right twice a day.

TIL the company that creates and maintains an ever changing fictional world is not allowed to expand upon that fictional world without angry rando’s approval.
The people who create a thing can write whatever they want. It’s their story to tell how they want. If you don’t like it, that’s fine. But to just act like it doesn’t exist its being childish.

You call that beating the game? You set the bar really low for yourself. No wonder you’re quitting

The people currently running WoW did not “create” Warcraft.

Yep. So depends if you like the gameplay from the new devs or not. Patch just came out. Plenty to do. Imo

Yes they’re expanding on the lore. Oh no

ActiBlizzard appreciates your loyalty. Make sure you buy the next store mount.

I don’t care about store mounts. The only cool ones are the glad ones

Also I’m not paying $60 for some AAA shooter

No, but the original creators of Warcraft just had Orcs vs Humans to start.
Anything beyond that would be a retcon by your silly standards.
What they did was hire more people as the franchise grew and expanded upon the world and lore and as they retired the torch was passed on to others and so on.

The Legion was always part of the lore. And simply adding new characters is not retconning. Inserting them into past events that they were never intended to be a part of, however, is.

The Jailer, also known as Thanos, is indeed a giant retcon of basically the entire series.
