This is absolutely true! I had a interesting conversation with ChatGPT about it’s learning ability, how it would carefully analyze combat logs to compare against on screen actions and learn how to not only Raid ICC with it controlling all 25 characters. The main condition was this; the AI could not access outside guides or resources to know anything about any of the boss mechanics, here’s what it told me;
This is for Heroic LK, with having no knowledge of the fight, and learning from the fight as it went.
Raid Comp (Assuming no enrage tiners)
Tanks; Prot Warrior, Prot Pally
Heals;2-3 Resto Shaman, 2 Holy Priests, 2 Holy paladins, 1 disc priest, 3-4 resto druids
DPS:Elemental Shaman, Balance Druid,Destro Warlock, Frost Mage, Fury Warrior, Arms Warrior,
Combat rogue, Unholy DK,Ret Pally.
Utility;1 Hunter(BM or Survival), 1-2 Warlocks (Affliction or Demon), 1-2 Mages Frost or Arcane)
The AI said it would have learned all Heroic Mechanics in 20-30 Pulls and gave an estimated time to learn the fight from 0, and down LK within 45 Minutes.
I thought this was very interesting and wanted to share!
Consider each pull to be 3 to 5 minutes. Then run back, rebuff, recordinating before another pull. You are looking at maybe 10 pulls an hour. Maybe more depending on fight time and how fast you can get back in.
But… 20 to 30 pulls and kill it in 45 minutes? Especially how long the actual lk fight is… sure it can nail mechanics and such, but it clearly has no sense of time.
That’s because the AI doesn’t know a thing about raiding, but it does know how to scour the internet for the most likely response to the question “How do you raid”.
Even actual combat time. If you reset right at the boss.
Lk was what? 8 to 10 minutes I believe? So if you are learning mechanics and get further and further in the fight. Pull count per hour goes down pretty dramatically.
Like jailer and sylvanas were super long fights. If you didnt wipe in p1 or 2, you were looking at 6 to 8 minutes each attempt.
So it becomes closer to single digit attempts per hour.
Adding up, the min amount is 24 people and the maximum it suggests is 28 people. Gotta love AI.
Also 10 healers at minimum for 25 man raiding is too much, let alone 12 people at the maximum suggestion. And what does it mean by hunters, warlocks and mages as ‘utility’? And why does it consider Frost Mages to be both dps and utility at the same time? Like is it saying that you should have 2 frost mages but only one is pure damage and the other is pure utility? Or you only have 1 frost mage and they have to do both?
