I asked a computer to write the next Wow Cinematic after forcing it to read all the quest text of WoW

“Ahn Karanir Thanagor,” Tirion Fordring whispered. He took his hand from Arthas’s head, hoping to bless the dead lich king and forgive him for his sins.
One day.
Tirion was called to meditate by Deathwing. At that point Deathwing was still under the control of King Arthas. For unknown reasons Tirion became a grudge seeker and found him. Tirion recognized him as Deathwing the Destroyer, and he wanted to find answers about his mother, Angrathar the Wrathgate. What follows is an excerpt from the memories of Tirion and Arthas at that time, into the Frostmourne.
“Father?” Arthas started to break the seal. “This is it,” Arthas said to Tirion. “The final moments of my eternal fall. I will reach out to you. Uniting our two halves and bringing you face to face with my future self. Fight me in any way you wish. Take the dead souls I have gathered for you and banish me to the Shadowlands once again. But remember: I am your father, and you will never, ever turn against me. Promise me that.”

“As promised,” Tirion said. “But what then?”

Arthas put on his mask, and appeared once again.

Arthas was now using the full powers of the Lich King and seemed to be much stronger than before, while Tirion was extremely weary.

“What is this? Where is he?” Tirion asked, walking up to Arthas and seeing that he was aware of his son’s presence.

“I have you now,” he said, letting out a terrifying bellow. “Come, little one, let us continue our journey to the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.” He lowered his voice so that only the two ofthem could hear him. “I will set you free, and return you to the human world, the only world you have ever known.”

“But Father,” Tirion said, “There is no one here to save you. We have all run away from the Scourge. Lordaeron is overrun, and we all know it.”

“And your friend Arthas?” Tirion asked, wondering.

Grommash buried his face in his hand, and his features grew grim. “I would be doing nothing else than aiding Arthas. Would that all men, including his sons, had such a purpose.” He turned to Tirion. “You will do what I have asked, boy. For the Lich King’s sake,I request that you stand up and tell him that he has finally found someone to save the world from. Then fall asleep, and rest when I am done. You know what he would like to hear.”

Tirion nodded and reluctantly stood.

Then a shadow fell over him and he fell onto his knees. The group heard his snores and ran off to find a more secure place for the dwarf to sleep.

Arthas and Tirion skipping through a field of flowers in Pandaria is now forever seared in my brain and I don’t know whether or not to be happy or horrified at it.

AI can write bad WoW expansions and fight like players. Soon we won’t even be needed by Blizz to play their game.

Thanks.

The computer is bad at sentences (One day.)

Also, it is bad at commas:

(At that point, Deathwing…)

same with “For unknown reasons Tirion…” (For unknown reasons, Tirion…)

I’d program the computer with the “Manual of Style”, as well as other works on grammar/sentence structure, etc; It is doing a HORRIBLE job!

Decided to make my own to see how it would turn out. This is my result!

Sylvanas looked at Anduin and went up to him. “We have to hold our ground here,” she said. “We have to fight the Lich King together, Orgrimmar’s leader! We’ve stood on the front lines for this long, we must do what’s right.” The heroes started marching towards the razed Hall of the Guardian.

At the front of the army, the greatest of heroes stood tall. Not Farseer Thoradin who was older and wiser than he had been in years. Not Aggra, the new Banshee Queen who was familiar with the Snowmane Mountains and its secrets. Not Warchief Thrall, the Warchief who had taken up arms against the Burning Legion. No, the greatest of heroes stood tall in the ranks of the humans that had risen up to oppose the demons and save Azeroth. Those heroes were Lothar, his son Lothar II, and his son Lothar III, and their brother Lothar IV.

I love how it decided to make four Lothar’s.

POWERSNORING

I never get tired of these threads.

Anduin glanced across the room with a furrowed brow. “The people you’re letting in, are you sure you’re not spying on them to see what they’re like?”

Khadgar bit his lip. He wasn’t sure how he felt about Garrosh. Having someone of such a particular character with such an insatiable desire to show his strength was even more than a little fascinating. So many possibilities to explore.

“I just want to see what they are like. I’m not interested in staying here. I’m going to kill Illidan and the rest of his runt of a party.”

“Logan wants you too.”

Khadgar did a double take. What?

oh, it gets worse.

google let off one of their ais on twitter. it instantly started posting to-be-unnamed-german-socialist-party propaganda and calling for concentration camps. then was shut down.

a young kid who probably believed everything he heard in school said “this isn’t what real ais are like!” which was I guess him referring to the idealized version from scifi.

I told him “this IS a real ai, not one from your storybooks” and let’s say he got “triggered” at me.
