I have two accounts.
I am trying to log in on the one which has Diablo 4 on it. However, the Battle.net app on my phone which gives the authenticator popup thingy to allow login is not actually working.
I put in my password, my phone beeps with the ‘Approve or Deny’ little popup request thing, I hit approve and nothing happens.
What normally happens, is the Browser window or the Battle.net app on my computer will then log in once I press the Approve on my phone. However, it just sits there and nothing happens.
I have tried to enter the code manually, but no luck. I logged out of the Battle.net app on my phone and tried to relog, but instead it now only gives the error ‘That Authentication code is invalid.’
Also, there is occasionally a popup when I try to log into the Battlenet app on my phone that says “Unable to retrieve requests.” My phone definitely has internet access at the moment so it can’t be that.
There has been no change to my PC or my phone to cause this. It is 100% on Blizzards end.
Has there been any outage or problem with the login or authentication servers?
UPDATE:: This is really ridiculous. I was able to remove the authenticator from my account and gain access back. But I LIKE having the Authenticator function requiring the popup on my phone as it makes me feel safer.
So I uninstalled the App and redownloaded it, logged in successfully, and then told it to re-enable the authenticator. As part of this process, it logs you out. That’s normal.
However, when I try to log back in, the app on my phone is unable to authenticate itself and I get the ‘That authentication code is invalid.’
You really can’t make this up. Blizzard, fix your servers because this definitely isn’t on my end.
