Because people have it in their minds that there’s a big difference between WoD and MoP, when the only real difference was that WoD had 1 less tier, which many of them wouldn’t have bothered doing anyway.
MoP was raid/pvp or die. Just like WoD, and just like Wrath.
Timeless Isle did permanent damage to the game by introducing the “4 hour respawn with a 1% chance of dropping what you want” model that still plagues the game to this day.
Some people aren’t super obsessed with raiding, the two major differences for me personally was that MoP was full of lush and open spaces, even Timeless Isle where you couldn’t fly was basically all relatively flat grassy areas with that one ramp that circled around to take you to the top part. Wod was where they tried to remove flying and changed their terrain design, it was filled with horrible terrain, tight spaces and situations where you didn’t know if your quest objective was under you, above you or a cave entrance 100 yards away that took wowhead to lead you to,it took forever to get from A to B because of that crap.
I loved questing and leveling alts in MoP but despised it in WoD.
Legions classes were as close to pick and play as you could get. Nothing like what exists now. It was as easy as pressing the power button on your TV remote and choosing a channel. Now we have to build the TV and remote from scratch and then pay extra for the channels.
Dude, there’s like 50 rares per zone, you zoom in on the 1.
Also, those had short respawn compared to Huolon. It was super dumb easy to get Rustfeather done daily.
Those zones are fine. No different than Isle of Quel’danas really. Just waste of times running around picking up things. Tanaan was a poor version of it, Mechagon was much better, Broken shore was an atrocity, Argus was better, etc… etc… etc…
Also pet battles, bind on account items, a better lfr for the “casual” players, more accessible flying, as well as a new class and race to encourage leveling.
