I am so proud of that +13 WM group yesterday

I swear. That +13 Waycrest Manor pug I did yesterday restored my faith in humanity.

There was clearly some noobish/drunk/stoned behavior going on, but not a single person ever quit. No matter how many times we died to the sisters or Gorak, nobody ever gave up.

I talked to them, I analyzed our problems and figured out what needed to changed, and i communicated it with my party as the tank, and we GOT ER DONE.

We finished that +13… 40+ deaths later. We did it. I didn’t repair once and i never broke a single piece of gear and my repair bill was 400 gold but it was worth it.

I finally did a mythic+ without a single rage quitter and it rejuvenated me. I feel restored.

don’t people usually quit in the first 5 minutes since you can tell by then if your team suks or not?

Not always.

Sounds like you have too much free time on your hands.

it was more about pity than anything. I saw their determination shining. And I was the tank and usually the top dps and some of the top healing and I was leading so I just felt like I couldn’t turn my back on them. And they kept goind the whole time I was so proud of them getting through that +13 tyrannical WM.

so in your opinion, no matter how many wipes, no matter how bad the team, if you join a mythic you need to keep wiping and wiping for as long as it takes to complete the dungeon, no limit on time or no real hope of completing that dungeon?

There is a funny quote on despair. com

It says:

“Winners never quit, and quitters never win. But those who never win and never quit are idiots.”

What a piece of work is man, How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty, In form and moving how express and admirable, In action how like an Angel, In apprehension how like a god, The beauty of the world, The paragon of animals. And yet to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me; no, nor Woman neither; though by your smiling you seem to say so.

The point is dear one they didn’t give up. You don’t see that much today.

Knowing when to give up is just as important as knowing when not to give up. That decision is subjective.

Yet man is the only ‘animal’ that enjoys killing one another irl on a consistent basis and makes video games about it.

Dear diary.

you make a valid point, if your only objective is to beat a timer instead of enjoy a video game and make some friends along the way. Also I made no friends I have become cynical in mythic+ and WoW in general as an alliance player lately so I try not to judge anyone.

I don’t consider a “40+ deaths later” as an successful experience in a Mythic Plus run MVP. But to each their own i guess :man_shrugging:

Change the word “success” to PERSEVERANCE and you got it covered.

These people are the faux-elitist who expects everyone to have perfect information and not have bad days or just be unaware of certain mechanics that only requires some degree of communication to get through. This is why I wish there was another mythic mode for those type of people to flow into.
