I am questioning how good void elf racial is now lmao

I am questioning how good void elf racial is now. 67.8k Asborb for 1285 verse (swapped out bracers) or 52.76 damage absorb per verse rating: 346.7k absorb during verse (proc 6571) on ancestral call (mag’har racial), during the 15 seconds, anytime you cast a barrier during those 15 seconds.

Hmmmm. I am questioning how good void elf teleport or racial is now; it gives about 65k absorb to ice barrier when you barrier during the 12-second procs. Ugh.

This other one, if procs verse, gives 346.7k absorb and 8.42% or so + damage (assuming you are not past the second stat DRs for verse; most are not right now); if it procs haste, its still good for cast timers/globals. Maybe I should roll another mage?

You can teleport out of Garrote/Rootbeam and therefor potentially use double trinket and yolo games, plus it procs 2x as much as mag’har on use in theory. It might not line up with your icy in this case though…

I really dunno if void elf is better. Yea, being able to teleport out of the root beam is nice, but its on a 3-minute cooldown, and 80% speed feels a little too slow; it needs to be 100% faster than it was or higher.

1285 mastery = 1.84% = 700 per 1% mastery = 1.38% ray damage?

6571 rating = 9.387% mastery or 7.04% ray of frost damage?

Though 7% is not much better than 5% void elf racial and only every 2 minutes

To get mastery to proc as an option, you would have to run verse/mastery or haste/mastery, and that is not that great for pvp… Really torn on what to play.

I think they need to adjust mag’har to be your highest secondary only, not one or the other. That way its of more use and on par with void elf. Though not sure, how that effects other classes? They probably need to make it a flat 10-12% like berserking racial is, but then it would be more powerful than berzerking is because berserking is 3 minutes. Also, not lining up with icy veins, which is sometimes 1 minute, 36 seconds, and not 2 minutes because of 2x shifting power, is bad too. It also makes it hard for us to use badges, and most mages use Proc Trinket atm.

Think I’m staying void elf until they can adjust racials again, but at least they are doing something. Still upset at Spellslinger Frost’s representation in 2s. :rage:

I agree nerf DH

Lmao. Wtf.

Also, how did you get your forum profile photo that glowly? You look like a moderator lol.

What is it now? 1.5% verse instead of 1%? Lol. Or is it not even versatility? How does it work? What kind of damage reduction can we expect from a 1.2M Frostfire bolt to the face?

Edit: oh its based off stamina? so its like 2.5k/per hit? Wow, feels so garbage, especially when we have 7M health in PvP lol.

Maybe its good against BM hunters and demo locks whose pets hit you like 10,000 times? Damn, there are a lot of locks/bm hunters in 2s lol. Hmmm.

It is considerable into specs with a high volume of small damage sources.

Yea, I am just realizing that. I’ve not played or watched games all expansion.

Are demo lock+healer or bm+healer still popular in 2s as they were in DF? I saw them every other game after 2100cr lol. Actually the worse amounts of them were like 1800-2k. After you got out of 2100, you saw more skill comps like war+healer, dk+healer, rogue+mage etc. Still occasionally get hunter+healer and demo+healer but the hunter+healer variations would likely be survival/marks and occasionally BM.

Edit: Damn, I am thinking about trying highmountain rofl.

That’s an interesting thought. What are the numbers like? I don’t like Tauren as much tho… I was always Troll when Horde. Now Night Elf or maybe Worgen again for the ultra speed funsies. I also wonder how much the Kul Tiran passive does.

HMT charge is OP as well. Can really help extend the time you keep melee off you while other mobility cd’s rotate back up.

Thank you dad.

Well, in a 5 minute game, if you get hit 500 times, that is like 1.25 million damage? assuming each hit is 2.5k reduction? 5minute game might have a total 20M damage? So, 6.25% damage reduction? I really doubt its that much though in practice? I am going to faction change now and do some testing. I really wanna dampen against BM and demo comps just for fun lol. Stack all verse engy bracers/helm/enchants and run with an rdruid LMFAO. I’m sick like that.

Only problem is I’ve not played all expansion and still have to learn frostfire, I will not play until I learn cancelaura excess frost, fire, empowerment binds, keeping them sheeped in deep damp is so important. I have a lot of new binds, due to their stupid changes and its driving me nuts and its one reason I’ve not played the whole expansion.

As a fellow squishy Druid, I support your research effort and investment. Please do report back with your findings!

They should make hybrid taurens and other classes, where you can mix and match racials - l ike tauren +stam with highmountain damage reduction that scales from stam rofl. Plus you could be like an expert herby and miner lmao. That 2% critical strike damage and aoe stun does seem decent. Plus if you could get the range bull charge too rofl. Spellslinger already provides 5% critical strike damage bonus, though crits are reduced in PvP, if its still the same? I do always like to min/max damage. For some reason 5% crit damage just does not feel like a lot, and I’m not sure what spellslinger talents are half power, I know the 50% barrier one is and spellslinger frostbolt underperforms frostfire frostbolt in damage in 2s by alot! I wish they would hotfix spellslinger for 2s a bit.

I love when highmountain taurens use bull rush to put the entire enemy team on stun dr

Rofl.

it’s 2 globals tho so not exactly equal dwarf/gnome

but you fs want to play void elf / blood elf whenever you can; the introduction of blood elf (the pretty human with pointy ears) was wow’s greatest moment, when ppl see you they will be reminded of it

I tried; it made me a normal Tauren for whatever reason, and now I am locked from faction changing for 72 hours and wasted a bunch of money.

Just gonna drop this bad boy here - https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/no-feedback-mages-thread-rofl

The Void elf racial should be a priest spell with a 50 Second CD.

If you’re talking the heal, it’s kind of meh. I mean a frost and nature 1% dmg reduc, 1% vers, and it is ok.

The punch is the only truly good thing about the race

I think I am going to make it my new mission in life to only play World of Warcraft the last season of the expansion. It seems its the only season anything is balanced, and then they release a new one and screw it all up for the next 2.5 seasons.

Gosh, ugh!

This is the first expansion I’ve not played the first season since WoD, not even dogging on WoD, I just was doing other things with my life. MoP I did the same thing, I only played like 1 month of MoP.

Some of these talents are so bad they need to combine them with the normal trees to no make them complete garbage. The Dark Archanel change will literally mean I never take DA again and putting Archanel on Evangalism just means I will never play twilight equilibrium again. I guess it means I can play fade nearly every game now never having to spec archangel and inner light and shadow but I don’t see why the fade immune isn’t just made baseline.

Thanks for the input! I was contemplating a change to Worgen or Kul Tiran for the fun of it, but by the looks of the so far well-intended but not-so-greatly implemented changes of 11.1 to my class and spec, I’ll probably stay Night Elf until Shadowmeld is nerfed, because I’ll hold on to anything that has the potential to save me
