Do you enjoy transmog? Do you have the Grand Expedition Yak mount?

Are you tired of hearing the babbling of Mystic Birdhat whenever you are setting up your new cool outfit? Do you not care about their luckydos? But you can’t kill him right? Neither you want to mute off the whole game just for that.

I come with a pratical solution in just 4 steps!

  1. Download the addon named “MuteSoundFile”.

  2. Type /msf to open the addon settings.

  3. In the SoundID box,type the following numbers (one at a time) then click box Mute this Sound:

    640160
    640162
    640164
    640170
    640180
    640182
    640184
    640314
    640316
    640318
    640320
    640336
    640338
    640340

  4. Enjoy a grummel’s noise free transmog experience in Azeroth.

I don’t even really hear that stuff anymore, it’s just background noise at this point.

Can confirm also works to mute the constant bemoaning of the anklosaur bearform that Zandalari trolls have, I just don’t have the sound IDs atm.

From memory i think its the frost proto mount for playing a DK in WotLK classic release, mount that bad boy and spam dragonflying buttons… my lord, it needs to calm itself down.

Maybe, or just selective hearing, I’ve been hearing the Grummel stuff for a long time, it barely registers anymore.

I like to think I was the world first person to buy that yak mount.
The moment MOP released, I Path of Frosted from NW Jade Forest Horde starting zone to northern Kun-Lai, mounted through a bunch of trolls on the lowlands shore and scaled that mountain before it was changed for the northern islands patch (I was practicing through the mop beta to scale that mountain).
When I got to the top it felt like quite an achievement, I took my little adventure through the Path of the Conquerer, and south to that village by One Keg and bought my expensive yak when most players couldn’t even dream of having that gold.
Logged back over to my main in Jade Forest, mounted me yak, and got wispers every 10 secs about having it hehehe.
The grummels have had a special place in my heart ever since xD xD
