BM Hunter can’t find a Heroic Weapon to save my hide. Is it Mythic only to get above iLvl 658? All the rest of my gear is 679…
Have you gotten all of your Puzzling Cartel Chips? You can get the weekly quest, and can finish the quest even in LFR then but heroic items.
Other two methods are Delves or craft a weapon. Last you can just fill up your vault and hope to get on next week.
Then there’s the weekly right now that you finish TW dungeons, or M+ to hopefully get a weapon from the chest.
However the best way is the chips.

I stopped doing those after I got the helmet enchant. Forgot about that one.
There’s enough opportunity to get a weapon. Just have to pick from them.

This is, surprisingly, the quickest option, for the best ilvl. Even if you don’t know a blacksmith/engineer, it only takes a couple of days to level up crafting yourself to the point where you can craft a bow or, if you’re survival, whatever you want to use for that. It’ll cost several thousand gold for the materials, but if a 681 bow were on a vendor for, say, 12k gold, would you buy it?
Easiest ways would be buy heroic with cartel chips if you still have at least 3 or craft and ilvl 681 weapon with the crest and additional upgrade crests. Ive been using mine P.OW.2 for awhile now as I have no hope of clearing Mythic Mugzee. Very happy with it. You could also do the 5 timewalking dungeon quests for the heroic gear and hope its a weapon before the other 2 options.
There’s tournament arc off of cauldron which is pretty easy to pug mythic.

There’s a lot of high tier raiders that have it, but the gun sims higher for me. The gun has the added effect, but it’s small. Is it the stats that makes it better?
A crafted weapon is 681, takes 90 Guilded Crest. It is not hard as 3 Overcharged delves will give you 60 Guilded a week. It’s the last week though so this is pretty much academic.
A Heroic Tiny Pal is 3 Puzzling Chips. The first time you do the Quest, you get 3 Chips. That’s 4 Raid bosses. LFR counts. Note that you’ll still have to farm Guilded to max it out to 8/8 Heroic.
If you are at ilevel 679, you MUST have multiple Mythic and Crafted pieces already so I am curious how you didn’t know this.

LOL yeah, there was a thread about it a while back too. The crafted is definitely better than the Heroic Pal. They Mythic Pal is BIS.

Its going to be better than anything outside M+ Vault which its too late for now as its the end of the season or hitting Mythic Raid.
The gun is considered best but it depends on your spec.
For BM going from Arc to Tiny Pal was like a 1% difference. (Maybe even .7%)
For MM it was a higher difference.
If one can pug the second boss of mythic it’s much easier to get that as a drop or unlock the dinar for mythic tournament arc versus trying to kill mugzee on mythic.

Engineering gun
Heroic weapons.
I’m saying two heroic weapons at same ilvl. When I simed Tiny Pal with Arc at both heroic level Tny Pal was stronger. However, I see more Mythic players with Arc, so I wanted to know if it cause the stats beat out the bonus damage of Tiny Pal.
I didn’t even think about crafting the weapon. I was focused on switching my belt for 681 boots.
Yeah I realized that after I spent my chips on other items. Just simmed it with my current gear and a maxed out arc bow and it is 3 ivls lower and only losing 0.8% dps. I can live with that tiny loss
