I like the Earthen’s story and a lot of the little stories and tidbits here and there I am finding quite enjoyable.
I dislike the music and find it jarring. Mostly because while I have it down at 30%, it is still louder than the dialogue cranked up to 80.
While there is tons to do and leveling alts is quite good, there is something in the overall feel of the game that is offputting. I am not sure what, but it could be that there is an overall feeling of pushing to endgame gearing as the focus of the game, with all the currencies and the profession system that is more off-putting than DF.
Also, you have a bunch of existential crisis dwarves bemoaning about the lack of Titans, yet no one thinks to go, hey, someone get Tyr who was saying he wasn’t needed anymore and last seen at the Night Elves’ tree party?
It could also be the heavy Alliance feel of DF and now TWW. Horde lost its identity and its focus and there is just a void there that makes playing Horde toons unsatisfying.
But at least there is a lot to keep busy with and it is still engaging, even if there is more junk to fill my bags with.

I knew I was going to love this expansion from the moment I saw the cut scene where, it appears, khadgar gets capped off. I don’t pay attention to story lines generally but im so bored of khadgar being some focal point of every expansion since wotlk. I know blizzard can’t get rid of khadgar though and I’m fully expecting that pleb to show back up at some point.
I too a having fun and there seems so much to do I don’t have enough time in the day for it all.
I’ll admit it’s been the same for me. I can tell you right now I have never gotten as far as I have in leveling and professions this early game.
If you play anything besides classic wow your opinion of what is good or fun isn’t worth much of anything to me.
The thing is the forum is generally a pit of negativity and whining and people on here basically fool themselves into thinking they are the voice of the silent majority. Generally people who don’t have anything to complain about don’t post in GD

I would be okay with a Disney crossover. Kingdom Hearts (well 1 and 2) was awesome.
I agree with all your points. We’re beyond the honeymoon phase imo, and im still enjoying it just as much. Its the first time i care to level the repuations, and the first time I ever got loremaster as well. I loved ironforge, and after a certain time it was dead. This is the next best thing. The whole coreway and the earthen are cool to me.
I’ll say it again this may be my favorite expansion ever. They really have a good template to build on. Lets hope ot goes well throughout the expansion.

Here’s the thing. I’d say at least 70% of the player base could care less about any of that. This is a game focused around your character and making them stronger. Basically a gear hamster wheel. The majority of the player base only cares about gear and getting more gear after that gear.
Now if you go down to the meat of the game aka the gear grind it’s honestly never been better and worse. There are an absurd amount of options to attain gear now. You can basically do anything you want and you will attain gear. Which is amazing and very healthy for the game.
The worse part I feel like is that a lot of players probably feel obligated to do things they still don’t want to do. Like delves I have no desire to do delves but I feel like I need to and I’m going to for the gear even though I have no interest in this part of the game.
Also it all feels a bit overwhelming the absurd amount of systems and quests I currently have to navigate. I’m assuming that’s because it’s a new expansion and everything will seem more streamlined and simpler in a few weeks I’d imagine.
TLDR: ZugZug Need Gear
Truth. There was nothing else to do.
A little forced? My girlfriend’s an amputee and she thinks the entire character is over the top. The part where she denies a prosthetic and was like naw I’ll just let my shield hang of my residual limp. I know it’s a video game and extremely silly thing to get tilted about but 1 block with that shield would send a shockwave throughout her entire body because her residual limb would be taking all the force from the blow. Going the Prosthetic route would have been a much more respectful way to represent the disabled community rather than “Girl boss ain’t need no arm” that’s not how that works that residual limb becomes the most sensitive part of the body you’d need that absolutely covered in layers upon layers of armor to the point where she’d have to look like an Astartes.
Anyways that’s really my only complaint and it’s super minor. Expansions awesome in my opinion.
Totally agree OP 100%. Best WoW I’ve played since Legion. So much so that I’m going slooooow so I can drag out the refreshing newness for as long as possible.

That would be fine, but people are complaining about the story being bad while also being the kind of player you describe, who doesn’t even care about the story and isn’t paying attention to it and even skipping cutscenes.
I’m honestly getting sick of hearing negativity about the story from people who just rushed through it and didn’t even pay attention and can’t just admit that instead of spewing their opinions online and it being extremely obvious they didn’t pay attention at all to the story.
I truly don’t understand how they expect Blizzard to deliver them a good story experience if they’re just not paying attention to it.
I’ve never seen it from that perspective! I’m not disabled or missing any limbs so thank you for providing her point of view. I also, admittedly, found that part of her story a little odd (I raised an eyebrow or two when she was talking to the blacksmith) but the rest of her story, I’m really liking.
