I am getting the weekly access and feel like a failure

Supporting bad business practices. I’m a hypocrite

I don’t consider it a bad business practice.

But we definitely needed another thread.

Self awareness is the first step.

Man, General Discussion really is the home of future mental patients…

Whoa, you got a whole week? You are not going to make many friends today.

You’re brave.

I’m not sure I fully understand what we’re discussing here … so I think I’ll refrain from having strong opinions about my fellow forum participants.

I bought the epic edition with gold. I still hate the concept of Early Access, but that’s not why I bought it.

You’re not a hypocrite, just another person exploited by the system.

Also, you could choose not to do any TWW content on Early Access days. You can still flip new materials for gold.

Exploited by voluntarily paying for a premium feature on what is already a luxury purchase?

Some people have very strange views on what constitutes exploitation.

Everyone is to a certain degree. We each decide where we draw the line.

Have fun during early access, I will be there to shame you in-game! (Yes, I’ll also play it XD)

I’m starting to get an exploited impression that we can insert the word exploit anywhere we want, like the Smurf’s do with the word exploit.

I only got the EA edition because it came with the pet. I would have preferred if the EA version was more expensive and didn’t come with any cosmetics. I suspect blizz would not have sold as many of those versions in such a case though.

TBH I’ll be too busy running Legion content to remember I have 3 day EA anyways.

I am currently being exploited by this cup of Columbian coffee. I could have had folgers, but unlike the people that gathered the beans by hand, I was exploited into purchasing their premium brew.

MMMM, A fresh cup of coffee sounds exploit right now.

If I cared what everyone says about the things that I buy. I’d be living on a valley somewhere growing my own corn and living off the earth.

It’s weird you asssume I’m NOT typing all this from some insane asylum, for all you know I somehow convinced the psyche wards to allow me internet access and more pudding. Mmmmmm delicious chocolate pudding, makes my endorphins all tingly…

It’s unrealistic to think that Blizzard would ever care about anything other than their profits. They’re a for-profit organization; they’re going to do whatever they can to generate as much profit as they can. That’s just how it works.

That said, I don’t care if they offered it or not. I have it, and I am going to use it, but I’d have been just as fine with my life if they hadn’t offered it with the EPIC edition.

Did someone say…for prophet organization??

I bought the addition that added beta and early access. I was on beta for about 15 minutes and logged off. I have to use early access to play because I don’t have the time off to play when it launches so this way, I get to play day one.

No one cares, honestly.

I just got exploited my McDonalds for buying the value meal. I also got exploited by the supermarket for getting 30¢ off hot dogs when I bought buns in the same purchase. My employer exploited me by paying me Extra to work on Saturday.

lol.

I work for a catholic organization run by nuns that generates approximately $3.3B/yr in revenue. The nuns often make some highly questionable business decisions solely because it would benefit the “community.” Yet, they’ll also be the same ones who preach “There can be no Mission without a Margin.” I feel Prophet Velen would approve of this.
