I am genuinely enjoying BFA

Probably an unpopular opinion. However, I am really enjoying Battle for Azeroth. I have been having a lot of fun leveling and unlocking all the allied races, and really enjoy the locations we are currently in. I have been loving doing Pet Battles, and the story has been really engaging. The voice acting this expansion has been absolutely spectacular and now that players are starting to get some choice in regards to questing, is really quite awesome and gives players more autonomy over their choices and actions.

I am really having a great time and hope that other people are as well! I know there is historically a lot of negativity in the forums, but wanted to share my thoughts (even though the comments will probably be negative).

I don’t mind it myself but following in the steps of legion is a hard act to follow.

To each their own.

Once this alt is 120, i’m probably done till 8.2. I feel no incentive to play current content at the moment.

How dare you!

Just kidding. If I wasn’t having fun I wouldn’t be subbed.

I’m having an alright time. To be honest, I’m finding myself in old content more than BfA content. I really should get to grinding island expeditions for those mounts again, or the dungeons too…

I need to set new goals, I think. And get back to roleplaying more, ugh. I’ve been slacking bigtime.

Glad you’re enjoying yourself OP.

I am also enjoying BfA. Not as much as some past expansions, but enjoying it nonetheless.

I knew this was a blizzard employee when he said unlocking the races. Lol…

I haven’t enjoyed BFA all that much.

That being said, I actually enjoy Allied Races and their unlock system (besides timegating). I’m sticking around because I still need to finish leveling my Zandalari and unlock Kul Tirans And Dark Iron (two races I’m really excited to play).

BFA has some really good moments in it… Making classes feel like classes and not specs while making professions great again, and too much RNG are my biggest issues with retail WoW…

Crafted gear means nothing when end-game gear is easier to get with every patch… RNG has gone crazy in retail, even spreading into professions. RNG for dungeon gear is fine, but RNG for EVERYTHING? Not fun.

Also I want my old hunters back–I want access to my melee and ranged spells at the same time. I want frostbolt on my fire mage, I want shield options for my fury warrior and I want mana to mean something so PvP against healers doesn’t take decades to finish.

Give us our classes back!

Interesting that in your little love letter you neglect to mention anything about the actual gameplay…

Goodness are people really not allowed to just enjoy things?

I’m, enjoying BfA, not as much as past expansions, but enough to keep playing and having fun.

I am for sure logging in less, but I’m not sure if it’s wow fatigue in general or BfA not being quite as fun as past expansions.

Of course they are, but if you’re going to go on a public forum and exclaim it from the rooftops, be prepared for people to GASP respond.

That’s cool. There are a lot more things in the game currently for the “super casual” playerbase. If you are one of the people that enjoy the little things like pet battles and casual leveling, I feel like WoW is in a good spot for all that.

A lot of the criticisms from people such as myself stem more around the major meat of the game and how it feels gutted, shallow, and lacking in overall engagement.

I’m aware, however I don’t see why he’s required to talk about gameplay. He’s pointing out the stuff he’s having fun with. We get the fact that gameplay is annoying right now, but he could be having fun with other aspects, and complaining about gameplay won’t change that for him specifically.

Because it’s lie going to a restaurant and saying it’s really good because they had nice looking windows and their menu had a short story in it.

Those might be nice, they aren’t why people go to restaurants.

Actually, they could be. Not everyone plays a game to raid or PvP. That’s a false equivalency. I could be enjoying things like collecting, pet battles, and roleplay, which are all aspects of the game, and my enjoyment isn’t any less legit.

Edit: And that doesn’t make your lacktherof less legit either, by the way, want to make that clear before someone puts words into my mouth.

Good to hear OP, it’s not as unpopular of an opinion on here as you’d think. Personally I feel that BFA has a lot of problems but I still find enough reasons to log in most nights and give Blizzard my money.

inb4 someone says you don’t do “actual” content like m+ or raiding.

Shocking Revelation: There’s a lot more that can make an expansion great outside of gearing and loot. There I said it. Now lets see how many angry replies I can generate.
