I am disabling my instance chat, I can’t take it anymore.
First, I have to defend myself because I don’t want to deal dmg as a healer and now I am getting abuse thrown at me for my playstyle.
I highly encourage you to ignore your chat while doing M+, as long as you’re not dying then you should be fine.
P.S. my highest is a +13, no dmg as a healer btw… if I can do it, so can you.

Its unfortunate, but we encounter this kind of jerkery in all aspects of life.
If you want to do high level content, you’re expected to be a competent player. You’re just letting your group down.
In m+ the chat channel used is not “instance” it’s “party.”
Maybe you were reading old chat logs when you were in LFD and blaming it on your m+ group.

I’d be pretty upset if I had someone who is AFK a majority of the run as well.
People who refuse to dps as healers are intentionally holding back their groups and putting more burden on others

I think I’d just leave if I’m trying to coordinate Cds with the group and nobody is talking. Even if it’s mid run. Generally there isn’t a lot to be said at most key levels but it’s nice to be on the same page as to how a few things are going to be handled.
Modern WoW, specifically in M+ they are required to do damage in downtime.
While I haven’t gotten in M+ yet I can recall even in vanilla wanding during down time. DPS as a healer is nothing new. It’s boring just standing there doing nothing.
If you don’t have anything to heal, cast some damage. It’s not a big ask.
what do you do when theres nothing to heal?
You are not forced to throw out damage keys as a healer, and groups are not forced to keep you around if you don’t attempt to play reasonably well.
