I am conflicted

I am torn between warrior tank or paladin tank. Sadly, I’ll only have time for one.

I love both.

Warriors might fit better for a Illdari theme if this is for a warband. :robot::thought_balloon:

Paladin tank is closer to a healer than a tank. Warrior is pure tank

Druid. The answer is always druid.

All kidding aside: Paladin because they are more versatile and, I think, thematically suited.

pally has better mog

war is just more fun, shield slam as the final hit on a mob is just…
chefskees :man_cook: :pinched_fingers:

…also it’s pretty hilarious…:dracthyr_lulmao:

Do a roll ingame of 1 to 100. 1 to 50, go warrior, 51-100, go paladin.

Flip a coin: Heads = Warrior; Tails = Pally. If it lands on heads and your initial reaction is disappointment it wasn’t tails, play pally.

With the gear upgrade system and the easier acquisition of gear, additionally looking into TWW, with Delves the process will be easier.

Depending on what level you play at, you should be able to play both if you want. If you play at a Heroic Raid, KSM level, it is very easy to keep multiple classes geared and ready. Two tanks should be easy. As tanks get groups quick, and there it less competition for tank loot.

If you are looking at an answer on the current state of the Beta, as to which will be the better? Its going to be pretty subjective. One tuning pass could change everything. I would instead play both a little on the beta, and see how they feel to you. Then play the one you enjoy more.

For me personally, Paladins feel weaker than Warriors as far as durability goes. I felt more in danger on paladin than on warrior. But, unless you are going to really be pushing keys higher than 10, it wont be that much of an issue.

Fun though, I personally prefer Paladin. I like their hero talents better, and I just like the way their kit feels better.

One thing is that I do not like the tank changes though. I enjoy tanks more when I have more agency on whether I live or die based on how well I can play. I liked that if I was playing well and using CDs properly, and timing self heals well, I could sustain myself with little to no help from the healer. It just feels better to play that way.
