Limit showed you don’t need good gear to do hard content. Optimizing your play will yield better results on the meter than gear will
Your logic for needing “constant” loot is not correct.
For the last 2 or maybe more expansions we’ve been force-fed loot 24/7 from literally doing almost nothing required of us and now we actually have to put effort into our characters to receive upgrades. There’s nothing wrong with this at all and the loot design is better than ever since you’re actually given guarantees for rewards for your efforts.
You don’t need to sit and farm M+ all day to get upgrades since there are other avenues to do this.
Your issue of “not receiving loot” is still a non-existent issue.
Mate, I’m playing a dumpster tier spec atm and I’m doing better than top tier specs in my pugs. I know. Then again, Limit’s raid comp for world first were all above ilvl220. So obviously, some form of gear is required for harder content
What do you mean guranteed rewards for efforts? A dungeon with no loot is the literal meaning of no reward for your efforts. Sure 35 anima, but let’s forget that.
I agree. Corruption was horrible, UNTIL they added the vendor. And even in BFA, there were still visions to grind out sockets. I had 192 15+ timed runs and 4 20+ timed runs in BFA along with clearing 9/12 Mythic bosses weekly and never had my BiS gear. But there was corruption vendor and visions to grind out that gave me a GURANTEED BiS corruption upgrade at the end of the day that compensated for my lack of base BiS gear.
If they added a similar currency in which we can buy higher ilvl gear at the end of every dungeon, I wouldn’t complain, because progress would still be made.
Anima gear upgrades are a thing I’m aware, but those are timegated by renown.
Isn’t that why PvP vendors are back? Because players don’t want to have to go through multiple avenues of content for gear? A PvP player can gear through PvP, a PvE player can gear through PvE. I don’t see why a dungeon player shouldn’t be able to gear through dungeons
They were only 220 at sire. They cleared like half the mythic raid in the low 200s.
Because even if you don’t get gear thru the dungeon you are guaranteed gear thru the Vault based off of the keys you’re completing.
And what does PvP have to do with this? You get gear through dungeons and that’s the thing you’re complaining about, which still does not exist.
You also need to PvE to gear for PvP as well since Legendaries are almost 100% needed to help you win arenas and the PvE gear dropped is higher IL than the 184 you can currently receive through Honor and 200 through Conquest (unless you’re higher rated than Combatant)
All you’re proving, is that the loot system is fine IF you run with the same armour-type.
That’s the good side? Holy hell you are dense.
I agree. A big organisation with a very coordinated raid team with very good players individually should be able to clear the hardest content in the game. But most players aren’t that.
The fact that Limit, best in the world, had to gear up to 220s for Sire means that endgame content is still kept behind a gear wall. Now think of the average player that does not have that amount of experience, resources nor the right team, gear would be the only way forward wouldn’t it? Which is why most of the world would only get their CEs very much later on into the expansion. Because gear is there to help alleviate the difficulty. Gear would be even more crucial for content with a time limit dps check, like Sire’s P1, or dungeons in general
You’re happy with 1 gear per week? Sure it’s a nice upgrade at the end of the week, but I don’t see it as a main gearing alternative.
Except I’m not getting gear from dungeons, which I have already elaborated on in my previous posts
Anyone that mains PvP would be higher than combatant come on. Rivals get 220 and Duelists get 226, which is very good. I’m even thinking of switching to PvP to gear because gearing there with a guranteed currency(conquest) would actually give me good loot at the end of the day
Incorrect!
I did not run the dungeons I did with almost any plate-wearers and I do not see the issue with lack of loot since 2 items dropped for every timed run that I completed.
There’s nothing dense about acknowledging that a made-up problem does not exist, which the “lack of loot” problem fits into… because it does not exist. Loot is fine.
He’s referring to me…because I received loot from others…bro
He’s the only person who exists, apparently.
I’m not gonna respond to him further. ~_~
You’re still receiving loot though so I’m not sure what you’re complaining about.
If you’re having bad RNG yourself then start groups with the same armor type as your character has to solve the issue.

Because not everyone would be willing to donate gear? Because not everyone plays the same gear type? Because running 5x melee in this expansion is suicide?
You’re effectively saying that the loot system is fine because buying carries, and in extension, the gear that drops, still gets you geared. Bravo. The fact that you had to resort to telling me to buy a plate carry says a lot about the loot system
If I’m not getting something out of the thing I do I’m not going to enjoy it.
Nobody does stuff “for the fun of it.”
I had to kill Rustfeather 515 times to get the wheel mount drop. That’s right, 515 kills. Talk about bad RNG…

Dont they also take vacation from work as well? Or do they all just stream and play WoW? Not sure, actually asking.
No clue, but they definitely play a lot more than the average player, considering that they each have multiple alts to gear to mythic raid level in order to switch out comps for different bosses
Quite the OP rogue we have here running m+ at level 50 expecting loot
It took weeks after posting on forums as a level 60 for it to show I WAS 60.
Getting no loot makes the game feel better.
But the vault blessed me with bis weapon lol
This.
I run M+ just to get my marks on the board for the vault, got a weapon and BiS chest piece so far, plus brought a great trinket with conquest and along the way picked up a few pieces of gear I wasn’t expecting, especially since I am running with pugs and guildies to help them out, a lot of my runs are untimed.
For the first time in god knows how long I have also brought and used all the vendor gear. Still using the 200 iLVL pants and when I get enough conquest, and hopefully rank, I can get some 207 pieces.
The vault is certainly the best improvement they have made in years. The loot however needs to have a bad luck protection of some sort, during BFA people ended up running one M+ for the weekly, I can already see people doing 4 M+ runs and nothing more just so they get 2 chances at loot.
Exactly. I dont think WF raiders are a good example here since they dedicate an insane amount of time to what they do… Because it’s a job.

you don’t want to know how many it took me for alystrazor in firelands… 24 kills a week for 9 months ![]()
