Getting back into Wow, thought I’d get in on the ground with cata classic, and bought the L80 boost.
Made some trash characters to compare looks, picked one, boosted it, and deleted one of the trash characters,
Except I didn’t. I IMMEDIATELY deleted the character I had boosted. Like, it barely got to flash on screen with armor before vanishing. I have no idea what mental schism went through my head, or maybe it is a strange UI bug since I deleted a char while it was boosting.
I submitted a ticket, I’m sure they’ll take care of it, but damn I feel dumb. Ruined my whole evening.
You should be able to do a character restore, if you haven’t within the past 7 days. Try looking for the character restore button at the bottom of your character list on the character select/create screen.
Back in Porkwater day, there used to be a number you could call that would resolve the issue within minutes. And a live chat. Now customer must pay same price and wait up to 50x longer
