Blizzard, mist is BAD.
It is unplayable bad. The entire M+ group needs to bend and coddle around mistweaver’s mana pool and the fact that they are completely oom after every big trash pull and boss fight despite the fact that they have no good cooldowns or AOE healing.
Every time I feel sorry for a mist healer and bring them to a M+ run (5-8, not even like, HARD) the group goes terribly and we burn the key. It’s not the player, it’s the class.
Mist can’t heal anymore. It sucks.
Bad single target healing, bad AOE healing, bad mana efficiency, situational cooldowns.
Mistweavers don’t bring anything special to the table.
Priests: Bubble, barrier, and lifegrab if you get booted off a platform, able to keep healing after they die
Paladin: Bubble, instant full heal
Druids: battle res
Shaman: lust, self res, smart aoe heals
Mistweaver: heal all party members and cure their poison? This is just… druid and shaman baseline. Stand in the blue or green circle, party members get healed. And this is supposed the big 3 minute mistweaver cooldown? They have nothing that makes them special choices for M+.
Hunters can lust and battle res but mistweavers can’t.
Mist is bottom of the barrel garbage and I’m not bringing mists anymore unless you do something about this garbage spec.

Me either! I don’t bring monks. It’s not because of their performance.
Hey cmon guys dont be to hard on Blizzard. They are new to this, Shadowlands hasnt even been out a month yet and they obviously dont have experience balancing classes. Give them time. Surely after enough time and xpacs they will figure this stuff out.

I… don’t disagree with the criticisms about mana. I can burn a stack of mana buns in a single key but I’m also eating every time I can so I’m topped up.

I thought about MW this xpac. Then I remembered druids are more fun and versatile in all content. It’s a shame because I really love monks in gaming.

And no offense to skilled mists that are doing everything they can to manage their mana, I can do the same key with a resto shaman or druid or holy priest and they will NEVER drink. I check their mana before and after bosses and they are telling me to gogogo at 60%. The difference is night and day.
You can be the most skilled mist in wow but the class just doesn’t have anything good about it right now.

the reason I ‘main’ druid this time. Its good in most areas of the game. I wanted to shaman, but its just not worth the added irritation and given the mob saturation in a lot of the content, I know I chose wisely having a class with stealth.

Sadly agree with OP. I don’t group with MW’s or disc priests in M+.

At least disc priest are great in pvp. MW have nothing right now.
MAYBE single target raid-tank healing? But holy pallies are more mana efficient.

They can PUMP for about 30 secs…but are then OOM and useless for the rest of the fight.

As a tank, I notice the opposite with some MW. They’re trying to be so stingy to stretch out their mana pool for longer fights, that I’m often dipping and needing to purify on yellow and even green stagger in order to take a bigger upcoming hit.
Mistweavers NEED a class with lust just to get through some boss fights, yet they don’t have lust as an ability.
It’s really odd, You would think with brewmaster stagger and mistweaver hots / channel we would be the smoothest damage intake combo in the game, but the result is the opposite. When mists use their cooldowns on me, it often results in overhealing / unnecessary shielding, and when they don’t use cooldowns, I’m struggling with stagger spikes and health dips on what are honestly cakewalk fights with a resto shaman or holy priest
