Just to be the underdog. Like Slum Dog, or Rudy. We can win through our “spirits” of positivity.
I may also, low-key, like being punched in the jaw randomly because I have a masochist mentallity.

I will be staying Rshaman . the spec is doing pretty well , especially for pugs and the other two specs can only go up from here , instead of jumping to the FOTM class which will get nerfed by the next time
Resto is looking good. If i stay thats going to be the reason. I like healing in PVP with it. But i do feel badly endorsing this kind of behavior.
I was watching absterge play beta yesterday. The ancestors were bugged and not healing and he was still doing well. The class doesn’t look like it changed much, but i haven’t spent much time looking at resto, and I’m not in the beta to try.
even if we are dead last, I will stay a RSham. Have since vanilla (toward the end, just before TBC). I have hopes that we will get a huge rework soon.
Resto shaman since day one and will always be a resto shammy!! Dedicated to my favorite class/spec. I hang with the rest so I am a firm believer in the player > class/toon no matter how much love we don’t receive!! Shaman for life, til the end!
I healed a few M+ yesterday with the shaman and it was miserable compared to how it has felt the last three seasons in Dragonflight. Totemic is more fun to play with than Farseer, but the mana cost on Surging Totem is crazy.
Totemic’s Widnshield is helpful and a nice added DR, but resto shaman still fall over easily.
Riptide does 5% of someone’s HP (10% if you get a crit that is loaded with mastery).
Healing Surge feels pointless to use. Healing Wave heals the exact same amount and with the tier set casts faster than HS. Plus HW transfers through PWave.
The resurgence nerf from Dragonflight is even more noticeable in TWW because we have to use 5x as many healing spells to accomplish the same healing we do in DF (% relative wise).
The class tree and the spec tree are both giant CFs. I have played resto shaman since January of 2005. Healing those M+ on beta was the worst it has felt for me since then.
Been doing it for years.
I play the classes I enjoy regardless of meta … I enjoy shaman and monk. So there you have it.
Paladin is ok as well but kinda … vanilla and boring in comparison …
As someone who likes pvp, i have to dump it. It just feels bad. I did some RSS on the beta and while i managed some wins, it’s a lot of work for very little reward.
