I… have no idea what just happened. I tabbed out of WoW and went away for a bit. Right as I tabbed back in, a voice said: “I admire your tenacity, but you need to stop”, which also showed up in my chat window as a system message.

I… can’t find any references to this anywhere online.

What just happened? Only think I can think of is that I was AFK in the Mount Mania area of the anniversary celebration. (I’m AFK there again right now to see if it happens again.)

Do you have DBM? The only thing I can think of is it could be a wipe audio clip that played for some reason. Mine sometimes plays at weird times like the game flags certain events the same way DBM does to trigger their wipe audio clips. Idk what it could be from though.

Hmm, yeah, I do, and I do have it set to push warnings to my chat window. I’m browsing the through the addon folder to see if I can find the sound clip.

It came to mind because I fiddled with mine and chose to have it use Bwonsamdi saying ‘Dat was an impressive death’ lol

Yeah, not sure it’s DBM. I searched the entire addons folder for files containing that string - nothing.

I think it’s from Doomwalker in Taneris(sp).

If you were alt tabbed at the anniversary event when he speaks if close to the event it gets picked up

Do you have some sort of addon/weakaura that monitors your playtime, or something?

Pretty sure it’s just someone with the Anduin transformation in the Anniversary area.

I was just about to say its probably one of the lines from the character transformation items that are lying all over the place in the celebration grounds.

Probably just some NPC text, but it’s weird that searching for it yields no results beyond this thread.

pretty sure what you heard was probably a costume effect from somebody putting on either Jaina or AlexStraza or one of the others.

Yep, for some reason those lines don’t say who they’re comin from, they just appear.

I found them really confusing at first.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s one of Jaina’s lines. Either from the raid on Dazaralor or the Horde escape from the Stockades in the BFA opening quests…

Oddly, it’s Anduin’s. I don’t know when he says this, though. (And I could easily imagine Jaina saying it.)

If it’s Anduin, could it be a line he says when you annoy him by repeatedly clicking on him?

And that explains why I couldn’t find it - the Wiki says “admired”, but I quote-searched what the game said, which was “admire”…
