I actually like the "Looking For Mythic" idea

Just run your own key if its such a problem…

This is exactly how I view it. Why out of the blue is queue systems not in the end game when you’ve basically made your entire game around them. It’s like some weird law from the 19th century that’s a law, but you’re not sure why it’s a law, but no one has done anything specifically to talk or address it.

Disagree. There’s plenty of LFG m+ groups that are ok calling a run that won’t be either timed or finished at all. They just quit and queue again. When it’s queued, the nerf screams come out.

I’d bet real money that queued m+ would ratchet up the toxicity to new heights.

Try typing in +5. Don’t think you’ll get +15.

If you cant even be bothered to right click and add someone, which you are going to need to do anyway for these hypothetical future runs as far as I am aware, there’s a much bigger issue on your end than all the supposed drama you’re going on about.

Can we stop with the facebook outrage comparisons here? They dont apply to a video game. If they did, you’d be talking about the game.

Right now? Probably not because players who were playing and working on this since the start of the season are probably done until next patch. When the patch hits, it will most likely be easier.

Blizz doesnt support boosts. They dont go around and punish players for it, but it’s certainly not in their stance to support boosting.

No. I assume that if so many players are left out of doing keys that Blizz needs to step in and hold their hands, then theres a demand for keys which means you should hop to it. Or don’t. If you don’t do a key this week I’m sure theres something you can do to pass the time.

No. It was literally created by someone who enjoys grinding M+ in response to players complaining like the person I originally responded to.

Mythic content is the last place left in this game that requires taking with another person (and barely at that).

Interesting!! I really need to look that discord up then.

My reasoning was that I have seen several communities created, with the same intent in mind, and they all basically ended up being boosting services.

You have access to a key. You have access to group finder. It is NOT gatekeeping to fill your group with people that give you the best chance of success. This word is being abused and has lost all meaning at this point. Limit not taking me to their world first Sire kill is not gatekeeping. Me not inviting you to my 15 when you only have +6 experience is not gatekeeping. Do we all understand this?

Very true, however I don’t think that anyone who actually wants the matchmaking system actually wants the voice aspect to go away at all, at least at higher lvl keys.

But lets be honest here, if you are pugging keys (lower level ones), how many times has voice ever been required in your pug group?

I dont know how it is working, who is doing what, and if there are any rules since I never joined. I dont even know if it’s still going. The last thing I heard was that there were more healers and tanks for both alliance and horde ready to run keys with those who felt like they couldnt for whatever reason. I havent seen the creator around recently though or heard anything new. Maybe players weren’t interested enough, despite the consistent chatter on GD.

I’ve never once seen voice for pugging. I’ve heard of it being done, but I don’t recall ever being required for it. Do people even use the in-game WoW Voice option?

Yeah not sure I want a LFM+ finder…

I have had good success running my own keys especially titling them something cutesy like “come carry me” etc.

The answer will always be, if you keep getting declined, just run your own key and even better, run it with your guild mates.

I rather Blizzard just offer gear progression for people who don’t want to run raids and M+.

you will

the LFG interface is awful. They’ve neglected and ignored it. Premade Groups Filter addon goes a long way to improving it, but blizzard should make the baseline ui for one of their flagship features better.

I’d be happy with just M0 :relieved:

I didn’t mean voice specifically, just any conversation. Even little stuff, like “what spec are you” and “can you stun that” or “get first on circle” are becoming rarer and rarer.

Everyone is completely interchangeable. You are a number. LFG is already like this. There a a little checklist in your brain for building a comp with a fair number of group buffs, but overall you just pick the [role] with the highest IO or most dungeons times over 15. There’s no risk in it, because you’re seconds away from replacing a bad egg at any given instant.

Between “contactless delivery”, the pandemic, and wow being my primary hobby, I could go months without communicating anything.

Sometimes pointless conversations have a point. It’s an inconvenience to start your group, but it’s good for the game overall.

I havent searched for a key since Legion. I dont remember that issue, but then again when I did PuG I wasn’t too picky about the level when searching so maybe I’m wrong.

I get what your saying, I really, honestly do. But, I am not sure that making a better matchmaking system would make it any worse than it already is though, i am sure it wouldn’t make it better either.

It is, though it’s been super quiet lately. I think that’s in part due to the expansion dragging on, and TBC hitting.

It’s still a small server, though, and won’t be a 100% solution to anyone’s m+ group needs, but as another tool to network with people interested in keys, it might be helpful.

Thanks for posting that. I think it might be a good resource for me to use.
