I actually think that LFM is a great idea as long as its up to +10.(So you can’t just que for high level gear).
Having the option to LFM on lower keys will be great for newcomers and alts and can be good practice for new players. It can be very hard to get into Mythic if you are not KSM alt or if you don’t pay for carry.
“+5 Spires KSM alt only”
“+2 DOE” with an 190 ilevel requirement
I don’t know if people are doing it on purpose to force buying carries but some of these requirements for low mythics are ridiculous. Thats why I wouldn’t mind LFM
Also, the +10 cap means that people can’t just Que to get high items. The majority of people are doing +20 now and that number will go up in 9.1
I think you mean a mythic+ LFD? I think that would be fine as long as minimum ilvls were met; no keystone would be earned or upgraded; requirement for completion of the previous difficulty of that same dungeon be met; separate and slower progression.
However, people who do mythic+ have roundly rejected that idea. And when elites want casuals and learners to be at a major disadvantage that keeps them out of progression unless they pay the gatekeepers, they get it.
Players don’t set the rules. If Blizzard wanted it, they’d do it, despite what bogeyman you’ve created in your mind.
I think 0s is easily doable. Once you start queued m+ though you will run into problems with people failing runs (I have been in pugs that failed at +2s before).
I think queued 10s would be a huge mistake if they keep doing affixes like prideful. If you think tanks are treated poorly now…
Edit: what ilvl would you require for 10s out of curiosity? Because it drops 203s I think.
I did not mean to imply that players have influence. In fact, players like those are of the same mindset as devs who play and want to make sure that players who deserve get what they deserve, and those who don’t deserve get nothing. But the opportunity to pay elites their way to a real money income so they can play the game while whining about the existence of casuals having ruined their game since 2004.
If they did something for a que system “lfm+” or whatever I would guess they will have item level or m+ score requirements.
I dont figure they would do it above like +5 maybe, but who knows.
It has nothing to do with elites wanting casuals to be at a disadvantage. Also what is a casual. People really need to stop using a term that has no real definition.
Most players want the best chance for success and value their own time. This means bringing the most qualified, even if it’s a low key. If you are less qualified and are being denied, start your own group.
I have literally never seen this. It’s easy to get into +5s.
Hmm, interesting tinfoil-hat conspiracy theory. How do you think people are organising this giant conspiracy? No.
Oh sweetie. The majority of people do not even have KSM.
Despite your post being all kinds of wrong, I think LFD could work for M+, if the matchmaker was good enough. I did a 14 on my rogue last week where nobody really spoke, everyone had the IO, knew their roles and it was completely smooth
Matchmaker just needs to not put people into a +10 until they have done all +9s, then needs to make sure there is a lust and a bres. What you don’t want is a matchmaker that drops you in a group with 3 rogues as dps on a storming week.
This!!
I would actually love this. However, I can understand why some people might not like it. Solution would be just to add this in, while leaving the way we make groups for M+ now in the game.
If you chose the match making system, then you would have to do every instance at a +2 (if using the match making system, you could not 2 or 3 chest a run), then all at a +3, +4, etc.
Not sure it would work, but I would also enjoy it if you had used the system and done all of your +2’s, then you could not go back and do them again using the matching system (you would be able to go back and do them using the system we have now).
Dunno, just seems like they could add rewards into that system to make it kind of a fun grind.
The queues stop at Normal/Heroic dungeons and LFR so it pushes players to organically make groups.
With a queue you also have less incentive to do research on Mechanics and a horrible situation is created where people are doing +10s and upwards without knowing half the mechanics.
Those queue’d people may as well be boosted. Ironic.
Good point. That is something I didn’t think about.
I assume your talking about the new scoring system? To be honest, when I read about that, I actually had the thought that a match making system is not to far off.
