Title. This patch is insane. Corruption is completely insane. Why can things corrupt when I am trying to gear fresh 120s? Blizzard the quest line to unlock the cloak is not even designed to be completed on a fresh 120 yet you are giving it out in WQs with 0 scaling? I have literally vendored upgrades. Why on earth do you lock the currency to cleanse and equip these pieces behind this chain. This is the most mandatory questline I think this game has ever had. While we are at it 415 azerite pieces with fewer traits then Benthic? My alts are honestly better off getting the 425s in Naz. Less rng to get them too.

Lord, the questline takes less than an hour total and gives you several upgrades along the way. In the time you spent thinking of and typing out this nonsensical whine, you could be halfway through it…

How could you possibly have a 330 alt at this point, what with Benthic and Invasion tokens dropping like candy? This sounds a lot like “I don’t actually play the game”, but I love to whine aboot it.

The quest chain is outright not meant for fresh 120s to do yet you are literally handed this system with no way or ability to cleanse.

If you need decent gear right away you could also buy 400 armour, trinkets, and weapons from the AH. I did that with a Hunter alt today who was at 385ilvl; after doing the cloak quest, WQs, and Emissaries he is sitting nicely at 434.

I do have those if I do wish to use them but I prefer to use it towards crafting(Expolsum/enchanting). Those pearls help a ton. I have never in my whole life playing this game had any issues till 8.3 gearing my alts myself. Literally never been an issue in my time playing sense wrath.
Other than Essences, Alts have never been easier to gear than now. It takes all of ~30 pearls to get an alt to 350ish the instant he hits 120. Heck, we had the Emmy a couple days ago that gave you 35 Pearls itself, which is a full set of Benthic gear.
Then 10 minutes or so of WQs for rings, and a couple cheap trinkets off the AH has you at 400. Then you do the Cloak questline for an hour and you are around 425-430.
Anyone complaining that alts are hard to gear is simply trolling, lazy, or insane. I apologize, but it’s true.

It’s not bad at all like you said. And timewalking makes it even easier for harder to fill pieces like trinkets, rings, and weapons.
Not to detract from your feelings, but may I offer a suggestion? Do you have any of the black empire boa pieces? It could make hearing it a little easier. I do agree that it is stupid that it does that. It was a problem for my alt as well. On the plus side we won’t have it in the next expansion 
Right? a 420 with the right corruption > 460. feels odd.

I dunno man. As a fresh 120 the only thing I couldn’t beat was Alleria and I had her down to 1% on my second try.
You seem extremely upset at someone who is being critical of bad game design.

The Rajani and Uldum Accord dailies are so boring I ultimately went back to Nazjatar and Mechagon. I mean I needed to unlock Pathfinder anyway, but 8.2 stuff ended up being a lot more enjoyable than 8.3 stuff on a day-to-day basis.

The truly bad part of 8.3 is how hard they try to push you into getting the Cloak.
They designed it as if they had no faith in the quality of the content.
If you don’t do it, you still get corrupt forged gear from almost anything else you can do in the game.
You can’t cleanse it until you get pretty far along in the quest chain and if it rolled a high corruption cost wearing it is pretty much going to kill you.

your 330 alt should do time walking and walk out ~410 ilvl after a few easy runs and have at least 1 445 item by the end. gearing is far from an issue for alts. its those rep gates. takes ~ min 14 days to get them half decent essences. U.U
