I’ve Betrayed the Horde, and I’m Sorry…

So been spending the last year or two on MG Alliance side and I’m looking to come home to WrA Horde. But I’m a little undecided on what I want to play. Was looking through old characters and think it might be time to retire them.

Is there any particular race or class we’re short on? (I’m sure the Pandaren and Tauren warlock quote filled up pretty quickly.)

Was looking to get some thoughts. Thanks!

We welcome you back with open arms, friend, but first you must go through purgatory.

It’s Goblin Monk for you. Embrace the chaos. Embrace the order. Find peace within yourself. Your true path will be revealed in time.

My advice to anyone looking to jump into an RP community (whether it’s a guild, or a group of friends, a D&D party, or wherever) is to play what you will enjoy. Because while everyone likes to have their own niche to fill (at least I definitely do), what I’ve found is that the characters who truly last are the ones that people made because they had an idea that inspired them.

So, I’ll answer your question with a question of my own: What is it about the Horde (or a specific Horde race) that inspires you?

I mained Horde for my entire WoW career up until about BFA. Started dabbling in Ally and was over on MG for most of my time since (was on Emerald Dream)

So, I can relate. Now, I’ve been jumping back and forth. The only real problem it seems with WrA and the Horde side of RP over here is the size. It’s just smaller than MG, so it might be more difficult (perhaps impossible) to find a niche group, something to keep in mind.

In terms of race/class’, we have enough vulpera… Just choose anything else

There’s no point in feeling remorse or regret in playing both factions. There’s not enough content to sustain just one.

That said, we do need more Goblin Monks.

Play what you want. Let none decide your path of fun.

Edit: Unless it’s a goblin monk. I hear those are cool.

Thanks Topsail!

And to answer Maerelyn’s question: I love getting inspired by others! My original love on both sides were gnomes and forsaken. Although getting people to take gnomes seriously was an uphill battle. For forsaken it was that sense of being on the fringe of society, not necessarily the edgy aspects of it, but being cut off from family and not fully trusted by their new comrades. But back then we had a Dark Lady that cared for us and we see where that went…

It’s not so much I -need- dictation by others, but I love when I see a new or interesting idea and it gets the creative juices flowing for something maybe in a similar vein or heck maybe even conjures up something new entirely! And with how much I find all the races interesting in their own ways, figured it couldn’t hurt to get some public feedback on anything lacking.

Thanks so much for all the replies so far! Looking forward to more thoughts!

(Goblin monk is sounding interesting :p)

If you feel that much remorse you could come play WrA Alliance instead :3

Admittedly it’s been forever since I’ve looked it at WrA Ally-side, but wasn’t it as dead as MG Horde? (Maybe things have changed I dunno)

Rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated: we’ve got evening walk up rp in Duskwood, weekly events, and a monthly guild faire in Stormwind the last friday of every month!

Did somebody say Nistavis, Cursed Blade of the Forsaken!?

Forsaken Rogue. We need more Deathstalkers :stuck_out_tongue: Go on Team Belmont and destroy Calia sympathisers like Sarestha here.

Destroy her? I barely know her!

It is certainly a possibility! I’ve yet to play a malicious Forsaken. (That’s what they’re expecting!)

What is dead may never die

As a forsaken I think you should know that not all things that are supposed to be dead, or claimed to be dead, are actually dead.

Yeah, Forsaken Rogues are okay but what’s really great is Goblin Monks.

What’s your angle….

Goblin Monk because you get the Brewmaster artifact weapon appearance that lets you sling your staff over your shoulder.
