BM hunter.
Amazing dps, extremely easy to play and full ranged mobility. Can solo pretty much any elite mob in the game outside of current raids and M+.
You can probably even solo current regular mythic instances as a geared BM hunter.
Mages? I may be biased.
Were very fun to play, we fit the magic class fantasy.
The only cons are that solo content is absolutely horrible for us, and to play fire (which is the best spec) you are highly dependent on very specific gear and azerite things.

I always thought about a frost mage to be honest
Frost mages are in a good place! Fire outperforms it by a lot but it is still better than many dps specs!

Elemental shaman. Strong, useful, great utility, and has a shield. Purely for transmog purposes is what I like the shield for.

Fury warriors seem to do really well in my raids, as do elemental shamans, destruction warlocks, and fire mages.

Pick another hybrid class so you can switch back to tanking like you know you’ll want to. especially with dungeon wait times.

Literally any of them. They can all do everything to a high level.
Are you looking to be the ultimate min maxer, or are you looking to have fun? Druids have best QOL of any class.
I’m super biased, but I love shadow priest. I never took the time to really learn it until BFA, and even though we’re not the best right now, I enjoy myself. I’ve seen some forum threads involving people thinking shadow isn’t fun or isn’t performing well enough, but I do just fine in heroic raid content and I hit duelist last season.
Shadow priest has its cons, but if you like the “dark caster” fantasy, it’s a good fit.

Fire mages and balance druids are my favorite dps. Destro lock can be fun as well. Ymmv of course.
