I am upset about the fact that they keep trying theses systems over and over. I’ve played wow since 06. My absolute favorite thing about the game in my character. I never cared about the legendary cloak in mop, I never cared about the legendary ring in WOD, I hated the legendary system and artifact grind in legion, absolutely never cared about azerate, essences, corruption in BFA. Content is fun and gives me things to do. But if my character is crap then you can give me all the best content in the world and I would not enjoy it.
Please stop with borrowed power systems.
Please just fix classes and specs.
Players like myself can go back to loving the game I’ve gave so many years to. I don’t hate blizzard. I do just wish they quit the crap with making things harder and clearly completely unfixable.
Borrowed power exists for a reason, twofold reason, stops ability bloat and gives you a new gimmick, that is never gonna end, we are not going back to the days of simply gear and classes.
Anyone who suggests to just copy paste generic old mmo design where it is just classes and gear doesnt understand the mmo market, people get bored, this has been done a million times which is exactly why new gimmicks are needed to refresh things.
I disagree with this. System after system has just been a bad idea. Look how much take it takes from them. If they were putting in more time into content rather than fixing systems I think the game would be in a much healthier place.
Borrowed power is a lazy cop-out, used as a band-aid or fine-tuning knob in place of have a robust yet simple solid foundation of gameplay. It is NOT designed a one-stop solution to ability bloat, especially at the rate Blizz like to remove/prune abilities to begin with.
If the success of your product is dependent on borrowed power and temporary gimmicks, then your product needs foundational improvements.
If they kept basic butt RPG design like BC and just added new raids/world content the game would be dead
Doesnt matter how good a foundation is, playing the same thing for a decade would be unbearable for the vast majority of casual players and wow would be dead, which is why new gimmicks are needed for any mmorpg to actually survive long term.
Your class is what you spend most of your time playing in game, if that is the same with minimal changes and only surrounding changes it gets boring
I am not freaking out about it.
Still getting pre patch.Gives more time to work on things in game and gives them time to sort things out with it. We truthfully don’t know how many people they have on staff in these odd times we are in.I can handle waiting a little while longer for release and still plan to be up at whatever hour and day launch comes
