If all RMT transactions were banned from the game immediatly and no gold could be laundered would you still be this vengeful about a loot system?
As has been said a gorillion times, in a perfect world where RMT does not exist GDKP would be perfectly fine.
Buying gear still feels dirty to me, RMT just makes it worse.
Then why is your hate spewed at gdkpers and not holding them acctable for cleaning up the buyers?
Of course GDKP is fine in a world with no RMT. But you guys just can’t stop buying gold, so we can’t live in that world.
We can do both at the same time.
Blizzard bad for not punishing buyers more.
GDKPers bad for encouraging RMTers and inviting them to their GDKPs so they can spend a lot of money and up bid items.
It’s not hard to understand this.
Any system that allows people to buy end-game raid gear for gold will always be unhealthy for the game. Paid carries are a bit of a gray area, but what makes GDKPs so obnoxious is the fact that it’s competitive gold bidding.
It might not be quite as harmful if it was, say, a flat price to purchase the item with a roll-off. Say, 4 people want an item. The buy-in for the item is 100g.
4 people stake 100g and then roll for the item. Whoever wins pays the 100 gold and the others keep theirs.
No bidding wars, no turbo-AH moguls sweeping the loot, no insane prices.
Thats no answer or justification for having this much hate spewed to people you cannot prove partake in the practices that we all wish wernt here? literal civilian casualltys in the crossfire but its ok because? because the main company wont hold up the their end of your 15$ a month and remove the people who are actually breaking the rules? People with no infraction and no ties to it being robbed and misplaced and its just ok?
I think GDKP is a great system and those who describe its benefits are right on the mark.
But with RMT being so rampant? I hate GDKP as it exists today. It works like a funnel from gold buyers to people who want that RMT gold without the risk of being banned.
There is a reason most GDKPs require their buyers meet certain wealth thresholds.
when are you going to advocate for banning the AH? people RMT for that too… whats the thresh hold of RMT to = Ban a possible outlet of it? can i see your internal data? or you assuming then acting as if your speculation and assumption = a fact? no internal data in hand = you are speculating
Then no one would care about GDKP.
No when it gets down to it their issue really isn’t RMT, they just don’t like the concept and start whining about P2W.
Because the GDKPers ARE the buyers.
ALL OF THEM? Every single one of them? my 80g across my acct buyer?
nope, GDKP is not the primary problem and it never has been, gold buyers are. if blizz was willing to perma buyers this would not be a problem and GDKP enjoyers could go on their merry way.
historically though blizz has never been willing to be that heavy handed with buyers, and they likely never will. so this is the admittedly imperfect solution we get.
What’s the best item you can purchase from the Auction House? How much of an in-game advantage does Auction House access grant you in the grand scheme of things?
You can use the Auction House for a very limited number of gear rewards. Most of what gets bought and sold on the AH are consumables that any person can farm/craft themselves if they so choose. Occasionally a nice blue item drops, or a good leveling epic…
You’re not able to buy BiS Raid items from the Auction House. You already know what the difference is. It’s the reason BoP items were invented in the first place–the designers didn’t want people to be able to buy the best loot in the game for gold.
They are not banning it for the gear though but the rmt and you can still spend bought gold on the ah remove it
Yup.
good to know to just omit your responses
Please be sincere.
People buy RMT gold in order to fund their GDKP bids because they want the gear. They can’t buy that kind of gear from the Auction House no matter how much gold they buy. To get those items, you must raid. In a non-GDKP setting, there is no major benefit to having a ton of RMT gold.
When you can’t buy the gear you want by swiping your credit card, people swipe their credit card a lot less.
