I was waiting in an Ishak camp group earlier and decided to use the Hyper Compressed Ocean toy to make the time pass by.
To my dismay, I only fished up 8.3 fish (Aberrant Voidfin and Malformed Gnasher), which was not the case prior to this patch.
If you didn’t know, this toy let you fish up any item on the fishing loot table prior to 8.3. Is this change intended or a bug, does anyone know?
Were you in the new assault areas? You only fish up those fish in those areas.
I guess it is true for the Hyper Compressed as well.
Ah, yes, Ishak is a new flying mount dropper, in Uldum.
On the other hand, those fish should be really good money (once the recipe book drops.)
HMM I hope this is INTENTIONAL! I’ve not finished the secret fish for the hyper compressed ocean, but being able to do that way up in the air (while waiting for that mount dropper), would be kind of cool.
Alas, it now appears to only give zone-relevant fish now.

Yeah, I suppose it is how you look at it. While it is nice to farm the fish in the current zone, I liked the fact that there was a chance for the various fishing mounts while using the Hyper-Compressed Ocean prior to 8.3. I am interested to know if this change was intended, or a side effect from some other change.
There’s also a pet that can be fished up from the new pools;
does anyone know if gloop is only fished up once per character or if I can fish one up with one in my pet list?
